May 9, 2007 - Hack and slash fans with a penchant for sci-fi should mark their calendars now as Namco Bandai and KOEI will ship their joint project, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, in North America near the end of the summer. Previously released as "Gundam Musou" in Japan a few months back, DW Gundam is from the same development crew that built earlier titles in the series (Omega Force) and will appear on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

"Dynasty Warriors: Gundam is the result of a monumental collaboration between two great companies," said Namco Bandai, EVP and Makoto Iwai. "This partnership extends far beyond the title's development and encompasses all disciplines including marketing, sales and promotions in order to bring this unique title to North America. Featuring interstellar environments and unmatched warrior battles, gamers will understand why Dynasty Warriors: Gundam is the must have game for the fall."

Unlike past Warriors installments that focused on ancient China or Japan, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam centers on the war-torn (Universal Century) universe of Mobile Suit Gundam as players take control of both the Earth Federation and Zeon forces. Unlockable mobile suits from different timelines, secret missions, and multiple game modes including "Official, Original" and "Versus" types are among the touted features.

Whether or not the North American version will contain region-specific exclusives or extras is still unknown.

seriously i told you before, it's a curse ..every freaking time there is some good news there is huge bad news and some exclusive lost...

it happens everytime..some good news ( this time was that PSeye , sega new IP game + Relentless ) then some exclusives gone with the wind , last time was ( home+LBP) and we lost DMC4 and AC series...

i just know it ..i f**king knew this curse activated after any some good news about PS3

I wouldn't say curse, Namco/Bandai are just looking to make a profit at the moment. It's still exclusive in the Japanese/Asian Market where the 360 is weak, sit back and play your games it's gonna be a long ride.

why we always like that...we bulshitting and bash any game turn to a multiplatform title , we did this with DMC4 ..we did it with every other games....

we made this Gundam game to be like jesus/savior for PS3 in japan and now it's a bad useless game ? crap

Exactly. Which makes me all the more glad that Sony has such a large first/second party dev base. Only 3rd party game I expect to stay exclusive is MGS4. I honestly wouldn't be to surprised if they announce FF13 for 360 at the SE party.

Thinking from Sony's side, where do ppl buy Gundam Musou or wahtever? Japan. Now what is selling in Japan? The Wii and PS3. I doubt they are worried about it.

Is Gundam Musou going to suddenly change the wave in Japan, when it's already out for the PS3 (I think lol)? A lot of us really just don't care about Gundam Musou. I pass Gundam titles like..... I pass up..... errr.... whatever you know lol.

I'm not seeing a curse, I'm just seeing a trend of an increase of good news and a slowing down of less good news for the PS3. Before it was all doomzorred, it's slowly turning around.

And really, no curse man. Bad news and good news happen at the same time, not exactly the same time. It's not alternating, there's just so much going on at any one point in time some is bound to be good and some not so good. Seriously sensing a real flaw in logic here, there's no pattern. If it was a pattern I could call it and turn it around the same way 'soon after bad news there is good news.' But that doesn't make sense either. There's lots of small things happening in and around right now.

And no one is bashing Gundam Musou, I'm actually being a lot nicer to it right now than I was when I first heard of it hhhahaahah.

And also, I agree with Tribal, this is a trend, and it's effecting the smaller and lesser known games a lot more. They are just going multiplat. And it's freaking Namco, we've seen lots of Namco projects going all over the place lately.

DMC4 made me upset because Capcom lied to our faces.(I still plan on getting it though)

GTA stopped being exclusive to sony when GTAIII/VC/SA were ported to Xbox

Im a huge Gundam fan!!! Besides the mess that was Target in Sight I already knew this was a great game, nothing but good things Im hearing and seeing and since Im CAN the price for importing isnt cheap.

Honestly, who gives a fuck? This game looks like a PS2 game as is, so there is no way a port could hinder this game from being what it could be on ps3 because obviously the devs aren't concerned about making a true next gen title to begin with.

People have to face the fact that this will continue until the ps3 has a userbase at least equal to the 360. No 2 ways around it. Its a good thing Sony knows quality with their first party games with FF13/MGS4 being the only exceptions for me.

Really, everybody calm down. Good to know the game is actually being localized, wish they had done that to begin with, I could be playing it right now. If you wish to start a new thread, discussing the game like people with IQs above 70, feel free. But this has got to stop. And of all games! A dynasty warriors game. With decent-at-best graphics. Not like this is gonna hold back the ps3 version in some magical way. Come on. Pull yourself together. this is hardly what I'd consider bad news.
