Nintendo didn't lose them, they are just multiplatform now.

PSP is set for release late November in Japan and Feb - March in the US and Europe.

Power - PS2 quality is an exaggeration. DC quality is expected.

Media storage. - 1.8 GB mini discs.

Price - Highly debatable but the most official price came from Chris Deering of Sony and that was $460.00

Its not like silicon knights is the only company that makes awesome games! I don't know much about the PSP but I think it will be expensive.

I like Dreamcast graphics.

Heck Shenmue still looks better then PS2 crap.

Non the less the original soul calibur for dc looked almost as good as the new one.

Still it will be betweek the ps2 and DC polygon wise. It's hard to describe.

The polygon wise (including the filtering for the DC) it is about about 1.5 times. It is capable of more special effects then both systems! Plus it has more ram then the PS2 by far. So textures should be better then even the dreamcast.

So all together when used properly things should look just as good as ps2 titles.

What is the FPS on the PSP?

Think of it this way.

Take a PS2 and shrink it. - $179.99 (PS2 retail) + more for the smaller size.
32 MB MP3 player - $50.00
Display screen - $100.00
7.1 channel audio - $50.00
MPEG4 player - $20.00
Wireless LAN - $30.00

Total - $430.00 and that doesn't include shrinking the PS2 down and these figures were low estimates.

EDIT: FPS on PSP? What do you mean?

60 frames even though it is capable of 120. Your wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The PS2 is capable of 120 frames as well. That's the max

Expect 60 to be average.

I don't know what the price will be. There are numbers from 199 to nintendo fanboys 899. Yes I saw that on a nintendo fansite. I'm not even gonig to guess cause there's no facts or credible evidence to say at this time.

I'm giving my educated guess and saying $300.00 - $350.00

Speedstick, I thought is what you may have meant but that is all decided upon by the game and the hardware. The more polys and textures, special effects and lighting you put in a game, the lower the frame rate will be. Remember the PS2 can draw 66 million wireframe polys per second at 60 fps but add in game data and it drops to about 4-5 million for 60 fps.

Shayde was being sarcastic.

The PSP will bomb. I've said it before and I'm saying it again.

I don't think it will.

I'm know many gameboy lovers who are going to pick up the PSP and are interested in the psp. My friend ownes the gamers up here. Which is gaming stores used and new just games. He says that more people are constently asking about the psp. Sony has gotten the word out and interest.

Still 250 is my guess. 300 might be the official launch price though... Still the DS is 199. So it depends on if your ok with less than n64 calibur graphics and no extras but a cool device or a bunch of extras and mp3 quality sounds... Meaning console like handheld.

I still dont think the PSP is gonna be that much Viper. Im thinkin 200 bucks, and Im stickin with it until we hear something else. Even if its higher though, it wont take long before they do drop the price.
