Is there a program/utitlity that will rip and allow you to view DVD's on your computer, without the aid of a DVD player (not burner) in your computer? I guess the program would somehow rip the information into WMV or AVI format.

Nothing that I know of. The computer has to be able to read the dvd to burn it, and that won't happen unless you have a dvd-rom drive.

Don't bother with ripping, its such a pain in the ass. It doesn't even rip it into a .wmv or .avi or .divx format. You hvae to go through about 5 steps, that take about 12 hours to do, depending on the speed of your dvd-rom drive and the quality of the video you want. Better to just download it yourself or buy the dvd.

Yes you can. There is a program called DVD Decrypter that will decrypt the DVD and put the files on your computer and you can view them with WMP or DIVX.

Yeah, but you need a DVD-ROM drive to read the DVD.
