View Full Version : Paintball
So who here is an active paintballer?
I just recently started and have spent over £400 just to get up and running. I find that its really hard to get set up when none of the paintball sites want to fill up Air/Co2 bottles. I had to go the route of HPA.
So today I dropped some money on a Scuba tank. But I still need to buy an air bottle and fill rig.

Paintball is fun but I didn't have enough interest in it to keep putting money into playing all the time. I started out playing in the woods with friends and eventually went on to speedball. The closest fields started to up their prices and were run by assholes so we just stopped playing for a while. A few times a year we'll manage to get everyone together and play in the woods.
Good times.
The weird thing is, Im spending all this money and Ive never even been paintballing once in my life.

Well then I hope you really enjoy it once you do start playing.

Me and my friends play quite a bit, we usually don't go to any parks with admission, because my friend lives on 10 acres. I love paintballing, and I've spent a fair amount of money on it. I run a 98 custom with big drop forward, 14" JJ ceramics barrel, and a double trigger. Hopefully someday I can afford to go electronic...

Used to play, always had a crap gun, crap gun broke.
Fuck Wal-Mart for selling paintball!
Yeah I play all the time now. I play a lot of woodsball at one of the local fields and now a buddy of mine built a really sweet speedball field and we play there quite a bit. We get a scuba tank from the local field so we don't have to worry about air. I've got a smartparts Ion with a yellow body kit, drop forward, nano bolt and QEV, pretty sweet setup.
EDIT: Man I almost forgot about my pepperstick kit which is pretty much the best barrel kit on the market.

I want a new barrel so bad. But Freaks are super expensive unless you get a Jr. How is this pepperstick, and how much would one cost?
Well I got a mini kit for $100, regular kits are $150 but depending on the gun you can probably find a site that sells individual barrels for about $40. The pepperstick is very accurate and will make your gun a lot more air efficient, I know I saw a big improvement in the air efficiency on my ion which goes through air like crazy. I highly recommend the barrel to anyone looking for a new one.

I'll give you twenty dollars for that setup.
In total my setup is costing around £600.
