Well I will be the first to say I am wrong, and well I am. When I first heard that this wimp Thomas Jane was playing my favorite comic book character on the big screen I wanted to cry. I mean everyone knows that the Punisher is a big bulky, muscle bound guy, and this Mr. Jane was so small and puny. I kept thinking this must be a Mad TV Punysher or something.
The day of the release grew closer. More and more information was released and I started to have a second opinion on this new movie. I so wanted it to be good. I wanted this to be the best damn Marvel movie ever! I wanted Frank Castle to have his 15 minutes of fame. I went into the theater on Friday hoping it would be alittle bit better then the first movie. I was completely blown away. Not only was it filled with dark humor, it was given the treatment that only Frank deserved.
I always thought the first movie would have been so much better had they just let Dulph wear the damn skull shirt! Its like having Superman without the big S on his chest, or Capt. America without the red, white, and blue colors. It just isnt done.
The movie had lots of action, and some really well done humor. Sure it had some things I myself would have changed if I had been the director, but to say this was Jonathan Hensleigh's debut he did one hell of a job.
So what did everyone else think about this movie?
