Anyone else read any of his books?
He has a series base don his character Lincoln Rhyme which was made into a movie of the first books name, the Bone Collector.
Great author. From forensics (before CSI made it popular) to historical accuracy the guy writes some of the best twisted plots ever and has many awards just for the plot abilities.
For short stories check out Twisted. Only a few pages long each but you get slapped hard by the twists in each one.

I've heard of him, but to be honest, I'm not to intrested in mystery novels.
More into fantasy.

Fantasy all the way. Well, actually, the harry potter series all the way. Have never really gotten into anything else except the ender's game series

Our abilities to communicate and express ourselves are shaped by our methods and content of input. The quality of input will have and impact on the quality of output. If we do not partake in quality input we limit our ability in matters of discourse and acknowledgment.
While it can be debated upon the quality of input that video games provides, it's of little value compared to the literary composition of the great writers or even more modest writers of today.
We speak that which has been spoken to us.

As I stated in the other thread, I don't care for his novels. I think he tries way too hard on the payoffs and it just feels too forced. Tried reading Twelfth Card. Didn't really care. His short stories are fun, though. I really enjoyed "Together" in his Twisted collection mainly because I never saw it coming. He pulled that one straight out of left field, but it worked because Deaver didn't cheat.

Twelfth Card was the worst of the series....by far. Cold Moon wasn't too good either.
Bone Collector
Coffin Dancer
Empty Chair
Stone Monkey
Vanished man
^All prior entries to the series and all far better reads.
He has a second Twisted collection out now too.
Other good novels are:
The Devil's Teardrop
Garden of Beasts
The Blue Nowhere

I read Vanished Man as well. Better than Card, but still meh. I'll pick up the second Twisted collection when it hits paperback. Short story collections should automatically go to paperback because its so much better to read portable.
i have coffin dancer, vanished man and stone monkey
i also have Bone collector dvd
they are all really good
