Hahahahahaha!!!

More than half of the music I listen to is instrumental!

So yeah, I'll just list some (after typing it all, I realise that the word 'some' is just wrong) artists.

DJ Shadow
One of my first experiences with Hip Hop, and I've never looked back.
My second favorite artist of all time.
He is a genius, the master of sampling, and he makes some beautiful and/or funky cool music.

Boards Of Canada
My third favorite artists of all time.
They make some of the most nostalgic, beautiful, and amazing music of our time.
This is Electronica that kills people who say Electronica is all rave and dance music.
Of course it doesn't kill them violently, more rather it silences them so much as that they are unable to breathe.

RJD2
Similar to Shadow, only not really at all the same.
He's more funky, less atmosphere creating.
New album out in May.

Prefuse 73
Elec-Glitch-Trip-Hip-Hop-Tronica.
If you were to cut some music cassete tapes, and loop them in a coherent form, whilst making it melodic and just so cool, then you'd only be a Prefuse 73 wannabe.
Some of the most innovative Hip-Hop music this side of everything.

Kid Koala
His music is stuffed full of his funny, inventive, and (some other good word that I cannot think of at the moment,) charm.
Turntablism that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Madlib
Easily one of the best Hip-Hop producers of our time.
He's worked on many projects, and it seems that they're all great.
I picked up his Blue Note remixes album on a whim (along side his YNQ, and a Boards Of Canada album,) and since then it's been one of my favorite CDs.

Yesterdays New Quintet
Another Madlib invasion!
More Jazz than you can shake a thin wooden thing at.
One of the first songs that I heard which really got me into music is on this album (Sun Goddess.)

Now here are some mostly instrumental artists whom I haven't experienced as much as those above, or just like less than the above.

dDamage (I await their 'Radio Ape' album in the mail.)
Autechre
Jaga Jazzist
Amon Tobin
Aphex twin
DJ Qbert
Mouse On Mars
Sigur Ros
Tosca Tango Orchestra

The Chobits, Mahoromatic, Azumanga Daioh and Haibane Renmei soundtracks.

Certain video game remixes. (http://www.ocremix.org)

Of course, it goes without saying that I also like every Radiohead instrumental.

Oh, and I own that Rob Dougan album (both CDs.)
It's pretty cool.

There's this wrestler called Prince Nana, and my friend and I always wondered what his awesome theme music was. After days of searching we discovered that it is an instrumental version of Lil' Kim's song called Drugs.

So yeah. I'll say that one.

Disorientating electronica that doesn't totally disorientate you while still disorientating you enough but not disorientating so much as that it doesn't make sense.
If you were to listen to a song from the middle, it might not make much sense, but if it were listened to from the start it would be perfectly sense making.
It's amazingly cool!
I have this CD before people!
That's almost a first!
Well, only if it applies to CDs that other people actually want.

Anti-Pop Consortium are pretty excellent instrumentalists as well as lyricists.
I want an album, I think.

Daedelus is good too.
I want an album, I think.

Cornelius could almost be considered largely instrumental, because the lyrics just glide through your subconscious without too much notice.
They're there, but they're in Japanese anyway.
I have an album, I know.

The Deltron 3030 instrumentals are also pretty good, but I've only heard a few from the songs that I already love.
I haven't got the instrumental album, I have the originals.

Anything by Oceansize. They are perhaps one of the most melodic bands I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Instead of rushing it in with hard riffs, they entrance the listener with their fantastic blend of strained guitars and complicated drum patterns. I listen to them on my CD player to get to sleep when I dont feel tired. I strongly reccomend you check them out on Kazaa etc.

Check out catalyst, massive bereavment and You Wish for starters
