Chemistry Studios developing all new Unreal Engine 3 shooter for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 3, To End All Wars is an all-new World War One first-person shooter in development at Kuju's newly appointed Chemistry Studio. Set in the war-torn trenches of WWI Europe, To End All Wars promises to deliver unrivalled atmosphere and realism.

Authenticity of conflict is high on the agenda, with period locations recreated in lavish detail, weaponry of the time and character designs which reflect the uniforms and style of the era.

Importantly the experience of the gritty combat in trenches, the fear of charging across no man's land and the terror of pounding artillery guns will be central to the experience.

"The FPS genre is a competitive market however we believe that "To End All Wars" will be an exceptional title that will form the basis of a new gaming franchise," said Khaled Lababedi, Director of Ghostlight. "Alongside other products to be announced in the coming months "To End All Wars" will propel Ghostlight towards its stated objective of becoming a major global publisher."

To End All Wars is scheduled for release in summer 2008 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.http://www.pro-g.co.uk/news/04-07-2007-5884.html

Everything needed to be a cookie cutter game...

World War (I is just not that different from II).
Unreal 3 Engine
A push for a "more realistic experience"

Sounds familiar.

I am pretty much sick of fuckin world war games. Do designers sit and think, hmm I have a completely original idea, lets make a world war 2 game! It just gets old.

Bah, why would I want a realistic World War I shooter? It isn't like I'll be playing these games in history classes.

Well depends on what front they are focusing on in the game. Sounds pretty much like yet another attempt to milk 20th century wars for game plots.

Trench warfare in a game....hmmm.

Yeah...it sounds so mundane. Duck and cover. Pop up, fire. Continue.
