Okay, how all here is anti-war? Is there anyone else but me.

I don't want to hear from any pro-war people, just the anti-war ones. I'll delete the posts of any pro-war people, you have enough of your own threads.

Although I support the Bush administration, I am against war in all forms. I believe that wars often make sense for a nation, but as a Christian, I don't believe that Christ would have me participate as a combatant in a war.

Good someone that agrees with me that this war is stupid. I'm an atheist, but if god believed that Saddam should be out of power, then he'd already be out of power.

I am anti war in general. But since people like sadam get into power, we will always have to go to war to stop people like him. I dont like it, but its reality. just think if no one went to war against hitler.

Well, I certainly don't think this war is stupid. I think it makes a lot of sense from the perspective of the U.S., but I think that in general war is a terrible thing that should be avoided at all costs.

I think that as a Christian, it's a tough call to make, because the Bible says that God puts national leaders in power. I don't know why he has allowed Saddam to come to power, but He has, and for a reason. After all, Jesus came and peacefully preached the message of salvation at a time when the entire known world was under the domination of the corrupt Roman Empire, but he didn't advocate a revolution, instead saying telling his disciples to obey the law of the land and to render unto ceaser what is ceaser's. So it's a tough call to support or not support a war like this one, but I am against war in principle.

Sorry, I meant no offense. I just wanted to make my initial statement clear since I was a little missunderstood by David, I think.

Yeah, I'll be the first one to say I don't know a whole lot about Christianity.

No, that's ok. I think I bring a fairly unique position to the discussion, and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being confusing.
