this is the first I've seen anything bad said about the title. and it is from Next-gen.biz (http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6343&Itemid=9)- which I like:
BLOG- The word from our man onsite at this morning's Microsoft conference is dismaying - Assassin's Creed is looking bad. And, having watched the walkthrough on video we can see what's worrying our frontline-camping chap.

ImageFirst to tick us off are the hordes of cloned water-jug-on-head women idly milling around at the start. Seriously, in some shots you can see six or seven of exactly the same person.

Then there's the much-lauded crowd-pushy-system. The collisions look anything but smoothly animated, more like robots bumping into one another than people. Or, by contrast, sometimes there's too much reaction, with the otherwise graceful Altair windmilling his arms like a seven-year-old on an icy playground.

Later, a man pushed from a roof hangs in mid-air - while erstwhile producer and narrator Jade Raymond makes a sort of squeaky, strangled 'Ooops!' noise. While we're on that, what is it with guards facing the wrong way in these games?

Okay, that's the bile done with. On second viewing, if you ignore the irksome bug and oddly clunky collisions, there's actually good reasons to be positive here. Altair's acrobatics look satisfyingly fluid and easy to perform. And the climbing, well, we love the go-anywhere climbing stuff.

We're also pleased to see a gigantic draw distance, and probably the best visuals of any game so far seen at this year's E3. There's also some one-hit-kill combat to enjoy. It reminds us of the counter-attacks in Pirates of the Caribbean, only done properly and with far more variety in killing moves.

It is a bit worrying that the guards seem to take turns to attack - even when they have you surrounded - though quirks like this can be ironed out in the later stages of development. But Assassin's Creed needs plenty of other tweaking too if it's to avoid becoming a great big let down. Fingers crossed.

i watched the E3 stuff with jade talking and there were a few bugs but it deffinelty didnt dissapoint me :), they floating guy was a big neg for them but its still a while until this game hits shelves, so i wasnt at all dissapointed, and come on 45 seconds into the clip with alter standing on that plank showing all of jerusalem, the draw distance was amazing and everything we see was explorable, thats amazing imo. this guy is just picking at un-polished things in the game. the git needs to get over himself.

Oh, I'm sure it looks good(maybe even GREAT!), but being buggy and multi-platform.....I just have a hard time believing its the BEST LOOKING GAME AT E3(thus far.....):wtf:

I thought it looked great.
The only thing I didn't like (and I hope they change) is that while in combat with a group of guards they only fight you one at a time while the others just stand around and watch until it's their turn.

Watch the first 30 seconds of that, the over the city view.

I call that awesome sir, not good, not even great, but awesome.

Don't like to compare it to anything as I want to remain popular. :)

The video is so funny.
Raymond's voice sounds like a Helghast on helium.

And the game dissapoints me either.

View distance was great, but...

I was actually a bit bored watching the walk-through. It seemed that it was way too easy to bump into the crowd. I some cases I wonder how the player could see where to actually jump - unless the game just handles that. Anyway, the actual gameplay wasn't very exciting in my view.

Hmm, i wonder if the reason you see so many of the same people in the game is due to lack of storage space? If this was PS3 exclusive, they'd be able to make more characters? Or am I talking out my ass?

Surely they could do a Mega-Mii kinda thing and mix up combos of eyes, noes, mouth, facial hair so everyone looks different. Millions of of combinations.

SOunds like a multi-platform problem. Wouldn't have had these issues if they kept it PS3 exclusive. standard HD, bluray, and skilled streaming would have made the difference here.

Personally I hope the game tanks. I disrespect Ubisoft that much.

^^^^

I agree about the potential, but Ubisoft needs to have their pee-pee's slapped.

This didn't really do anything new to excite me about the game. (the trailer I mean)

I thought the game looked pretty impressive, the gameplay looked fun to me and the graphics were good. Sure there are some bugs that i could easily notice but its not the final build guys.

fanboys always want it their way and don't want it shared to another console. I thought the game looked fine and I'm sure the argument can be the same if it was 360 exclusive. Get over it because it sounds like you guys are sobbing over a non issue.

Why dont you just let other people have their opinion?

I couldnt care less about this game atm. The demoing looked subpar compared to most of Sonys offering (didnt see the other keynotes yet, University was a long day today).

or those could be some kind of place holders till the game nears release.
in any case, a threat title change is due. this is an opinion of one site that caught me by surprise since everyone is praising this. and thius shouldn't be the general name for the game.
I was too busy lusting in Killzone heaven to check the video. the game still looks attractive for me. :)
