Post E3 impressions.

Now that it has come and gone and the dust has settled.

What are your impressions of E3 and the showings of games etc?

On E3 in general
I personally felt it wasn't as OMG this year as it was previously.
It simply felt like a demo conference rather than a BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE COMING conference.
I was basically dissapointed with the lack of surprises.

Specific games/ showings
Sure Killzone2 showing was probably the highlight of the show but that's what saddens me.
It was like a 2 minute video of very fast cut gameplay and even after I watched the ''proper'' version of it (uncut demo of the full level), it wasn't enough to excite me and the release date being 2009 (i think it was) just sealed the deal for a ''meh'' response.

I also started to feel Nintendo is now over-doing the casual approach.

Be as uncensored as you want in this thread as long as you give reasons for your flaming if it occurs.

Killzone's tentative release date is early 2008.

Sony and release dates go together like shit and dinner.

Little do they know it's one of the main reasons I'm not buying one.
They show games then they dissapear into nowhere and we have no idea what the fuck is going on or when we can play it.

And it's Killzone2.

Supposedly the developers were not too impressed with the new format. Square Enix even cleaned out its booth and left a day early giving no reason why. That's never happened at any past E3 I'm aware of.

But we have E for All or something right which is something like the old E3?

Or is that the name of the new E3?

E for All is new but will be held in the LACC like E3 used to be and this will be open to the public unlike E3 was (granted it damn sure felt like it was open to the public with all the damn EB clerks there. Actual journalists were outnumbered 10:1 easily)

I really hope London Game Festival has Eight Days.
My most anticipated PS3 game that just disappeared into thin air.

I really don't like how quite it is in General Gaming.
Lock the PS3 section for three days so people know the forum has more sections.
