So a couple of weeks ago, I saw Little Miss Sunshine. It was actually a really good movie. Some parts were hilarious... but I'm going to avoid spoilers. I didn't really expect too much from it because it was an independent movie that I saw at one of those places that shows artsy films and documentaries (also playing at that theater when I went: An Inconvenient Truth and Who Killed the Electric Car), but a friend really wanted to go, so I went anyway.
So... if you get a chance to see it, do - it's worth seeing.
Today, I learned about a movie Will Ferrell is doing this fall called Stranger than Fiction. Had you guys heard of it? I thought it looked pretty good in the trailer.

Haven't heard of that one, but Mike Judge's new film 'Idiocracy' just came out in 8 cities. Thanks to FOX's brilliant strategy, I've been forced into trying to find a pirated one online.

TMNT was a good movie. Hilarious in some parts. Some good action scenes.
The Condemned, on the other hand, is badass.

Anyone here seen Idiocracy? I think you'd all love it. Check Google Video or YouTube for a trailer if you haven't heard of it (and you probably haven't). It's by Mike Judge, the guy who made Office Space and King of the Hill.

Hot Fuzz was decent, and I didn't really like Spiderman 3... I want to see The Condemned real bad, I might just download it

I have, to be fair, it was pretty good. Not bad of a movie.

I liked Idiocracy, though it was boring when compared to Office Space. TMNT was awesome; Spiderman 3 i liked, but am critical of; looking forward to Shrek the Third, Transformers, and Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Double post, but only because no one posts anymore.....
I saw the new Harry potter movie the other day, for free. It was awesome, even though they did leave out like...... half the damn book. Oh well.... only another few days till the last book anyways.

Stanger Than Fiction is great, especially if you loved Little Miss Sunshine.
Also watch "You, Me, and Everything We Know". Kinda has the same feel as Little Miss Sunshine.

"Me And You And Everyone We Know"
It's one of my favorite films.
It was one of the things that made my 2006 great.
(I couldn't see it in 2005.)
I Heart Huckabees is a wonderful film, but certainly not for everyone, least of all the non-philosophically-inclined.
The trouble with films of this nature (usually independent films,) is that it's hard to recommend similar films because they're all so unique.
Now I will also list two more films.
Punch-Drunk Love
Amelie
Punch-Drunk Love is beautiful in an awkward way, and I shouldn't need to list Amelie because it's so obviously perfect.

Scarface is a classy film.
Sunshine. Awesome fucking movie. Really intense. By the guy who made 28 days later and Trainspotting I think. Really really good.

everyone who likes western and revenge type movies should see Seraphim Falls.
Pierce Brosnan and Liam Neeson play former soldiers who fought on different sides of the Civil War
one of them is hunting the other down for something that happened during the war.
its worth a rental, at least.
