View Full Version : Possible Nano-Phone?

I wasn't sure where to put this topic...

One of those models could be based on the cheaper, popular iPod Nano, the smaller, sleeker iPod, according to a research report from JP Morgan Chase. JP Morgan Chase analyst Kevin Chang issued a report saying that the new model could sell for less than $300.

Much of the Nano-based iPhone talk has centered on Apple's July 5 patent application that refers to a multifunctional handheld device with a circular touch-pad control, similar to the Nano's scroll wheel. Apple has not commented on the application or the speculation it incited.

"We believe that iPod Nano will be converted into a phone because it's probably the only way for Apple to launch a lower-end phone without severely cannibalizing iPod Nano," Chang said, noting that the new phone could have "rather limited functionality."

Now, I really want an iPhone because my nano is close to dying and I hate my current phone, but sadly I don't have the money and I can't fathom spending 6 benjies on a phone.. but this sounds like a good idea, and even though its just speculation, it's fun to think about/discuss.

Maddox is a fucking idiot. I stopped taking his opinions into consideration when I read his article about how Loose Change was bullshit.

Although the E70 is a good phone as are most Nokia phones.

Damn it. When you said Nano-Phone, I was thinking the technology as in nano, not the damn iPod model brand from Apple.

Had my hopes up for something.

While I disagree with him on a lot of things, I have to at least admit that Maddox is funny.

if you can't afford an iRip-off buy an openMoko phone, a lot cheaper and no lock-in to AT&T

No. I love freedom. I just like the idea of raking in the cash.

No, you mean giving the cash to other companies raking it in, no? ;)
