There's also two movies you can watch straight through; one is To Kill a Mockingbird but the other one escapes me at this time.

Interesting choice for an in-game movie. I happened to read that book in school last year.

BTW, is The Darkness demo available on the US store?

it is in the EU, just make a fake account and get it if you want.

as for the game, this is why demos should be made manditory by Sony for all games. trying a demo would be the definitive decider on whether you get the game or not. that could work both ways for the publisher, but it is always in favor of us the player.

having tried the demo, I lost all interest in this horrible game. the movement is so slow and clunky that it just kills the type of game it is. FPS games should be very smooth and intuitive since you'll be aiming most of the time. the concept of the Darkness is good, but the gameplay kills it.

the boney king of nowhere.

i fully agree with you Z i was pondering on getting this to pass the time until the AAA games start coming out but now i wont even bother renting it. thank god for demos haha.

People are saying Riddick is still their best work, but I think the game is you know... OK.

But if ya played it and not liked it, fairy nuf!

It's OK...

It seems like a game I would've been impressed with when I was younger--for the guts and gore and stuff...

Now it's seems pretty bland...and "meh"

I find myself being more and more bored with most game releases...My selection for this year is quite short to be honest--story driven games are really all I play now...

I wonder if I'll ever grow outta these things?

Ya... Finishing off Ratchet and Clank Up your Arsenal, it's a better game in more ways than I could count.

According to my countdown, 1 month 10 days until Heavenly Sword. Yum...

I wonder the same thing sometimes (not the question to be asking myself after buying a 500 dollar system, haha). But I do really like this game. I like how the story develops in real time between characters.

I watched the full movie of To Kill a Mockingbird and didn't play the game after that point... it's okay, but I don't think it's a very solid shooter personally.

Grow out of story-driven games? That's the pinnacle of gaming (IMO), dude!!

I was also upset with the gameplay. After reading the review in Game Informer I was really looking forward to maybe getting this game because it sounded like the story and atmosphere were phenomenal. Unfortunately I keep getting stuck against walls and such cuz I can't move...

Playing through a bit of the Darkness at the moment. Hmmm...

So I'm looking for my uncle jackie or whatever, now suddenly I'm in world war bloody 1? What the hells up with that, and the shooting isn't up to much either, and the puzzles, if you can call them that are rubbish. It's like find a firey hole, press L1 and one of four buttons, puzzle solved. The wriggly worm thing sucks from a gameplay standpoint, what a pile of crap.

There's just no strategy, no intelligence to the design, no adrenaline pumping moments, it's 'orrible.

If I do finish it it's a contender for worst game of the year I've finished, I give it 6/10 sir. Awful awful game. Heavenly Sword can't come soon enough.

It is better than Sonic the Hedgehog though. :)

The only way I'm "growing out" of big games (like Metal Gear) is when I'm dead, I know that :-D
