NCsoft interview on Sony partnership

No clue if this has been posted somewhere but it was new to me,

News for Gamers interview with Robert Garriott, NCsoft U.S. president for Sony partnership (http://www.n4g.com/industrynews/News-52873.aspx).

Some existing NCsoft online titles will be coming to the PlayStation 3 in addition to new IP. Those titles that do come out for the PS3 will be exclusive to the system, according to Garriott.

great news. not only will they bring exisitng titles over and not only will there be a new IP, anything they do for PS3 is exclusive. :)

as for which titles they're bringing, it wouldn't matter since they have a number of great games. any of them will be great. they also have a few smaller games, but they have to include some of their bigger titles. you don't want to waist such an opportunity like this.

also, this is also a compliment for PSN. being an open network and completely free to use on the users' side is very appealing. not to mention Cell and BD aren't something to brush off. ;)

But I heard Guild Wars was good, as I'll admit I've wanted to try MMORPG's but have grown out of the PC gaming thing...

I dunno, bottom line--you have to invest TOO much time into those game to get the most of them...

Could be fun with the right people I guess, maybe 2 hours a day after work:shrug: Just seems a bit drastic when you get older, work/school gets in the way of MMO...

yeah, I want their games on PS3 today, but on the plus side, we are indeed getting new exclusive games on top of fan favorite ones. :)

they didn't talk about EQ2, but they are bringing at least two brand new games- which one of them is The Agency coming out next year. SE is making a new MMO for PS3 as well.

im hoping Guild Wars 2 will be on the ps3, not so phased if GW1 doesnt cos i play it on PC anyway. But for players who want the online multiplayer RPG fun GW is a good game, lower lvls means less grind and less invested time but its not for those who love L2 or WoW. i myself found it hard to get use to because i came from playing L2 to GW so it was weird, but im use to it now. It's the best pvp mmo in my opinion. There was rumors that GW2 will be on the PS3, which i'll be very very happy about. but we most likley wont have word on that until mid next year, as GW2 beta testing isnt until late 08 :(

If L2 does get ported to the PS3 im really hoping for some sort of facelift for that game, it needs it imo. I've played L2 right since chronicle 1 XD which is years ago. the game is awesome but a very grindy game and does take alot of work and time to get anywhere. but the payoff is worth the time io, the armour is amazing in this game ^^

City of heroes is another cool game, played it for a few months but i was heavy into GW at the time so didnt get into to it hardcore. it would work okay on the Ps3 but i doubt we will see it because there isnt a user base like there is for L2 or GW.

and i heared Tabula Rasa isnt all that good. but i havent tested it myself so i cant say.



my main concern for these games coming to PS3 is im really hoping they have KB+M support, its obviously needed :P and woud screw up the game very much if it wasnt there.

Might be worth checking out comic con for an announcement on that... Marvels got one in the works for the 360 as well.

that would be one of the three MMOs SOE is working on. didn't hear from it in a while.
