I am extreamly impressed with Sony and the job they have done with the PS3 to this point. It is sad that news outlets have not givin them the credit they diserve for the job they have done. Personally I am very happy with the service that Sony has givin the people that have bought their console. The best example is the Playstation Blog. When poeple go out and spend 600 dollars on a piece of hardware they expect to get what they paid for and I feel any PS3 owner right now can already feel they are getting their moneys worth. Were else can you get a system with nearly no reported harware problems, were else can you go were their is a constant stream of new new content every week, and were else can you go were you can voice your wants and needs. The PS blog has given the users something special that no other console has, it has made everyone part of the PS team. I was most impressed today when I returned to the Blog and found that Sony has already addressed the numerus requests for in Game XMB. This thread my not be relevant thats up to you guys, but I think that it is worth metioning that Sony has givin us a console at nearly 300 dollars loss, and yet came through with free updates, and a costumer service that is above anything I have ever experianced. How do you guys feel about your treatment from Sony with the PS3, as you now I think this is the best relationship I have had with any copany with any product even other PS.

Completely agree. I'm glad that the extra money I paid for the console has given me extra features rather than paying some sort of subscription to play games online. The in-built Wifi makes things much easier if I want to game on the big boys equipment in the living room. I'm already getting my moneys worth. In my opinion there is nothing that compares to the technology and industrial design in the PS3 in this price range. It's an engineering masterpiece. I'm also pleased with the frequent firmware updates. Sure it's not perfect yet, but I really like what they have been doing with the system.

I think the smart people always wait for the first price cut to buy, but I needed my PS3 at launch, but yeah, three things have made PS3 for me:
1 - High def movies
2 - faultness BC, I mostly use it to play PS2 games
3 - The high quality of PS Net downloads (Flow, CaC, SSDHD, Castlevania SOTN, GT Concept HD, Blast Factor)
Those 3 things take up 90% of my PS3 time.
Still waiting on the first really big game that's all PS3. Resistance was great but you know, didn't feel 100% playstationy. Motorstorm is slightly unfinished. BG Sigma is an enhanced port.
Waiting on that first big PS3 game. Lair or Heavenly Sword.

The problem now is that the market itself is stating that it wants a cheap toy not a well built, multi-function machine.
If the PS3 fails to overtake the Xbox 360 and the wii then it will force Sony to rethink it strategy in the future. Meaning we will get a console that is made inexpensive and lacks functions with the reliability many of us want and are willing to pay for.
