PS3 Version of GTA IV Two Weeks Behind X360’s Version

I really wonder why some (devs) feel the need to say things like this knowing full well the gaming majority have no idea what the fuck that means and will blow it so far out of proportion Rosie O'Donnell could waddle her fat ass through it.

This could be 1001 different reasons, all valid mind you, but most people, media included, will simply resort to the cattle call, "OMG, PS3 must suxor!" And the others will "Moo" in affirmation.

One has to wonder why you had to make a thread for this. I mean, I can also make threads like "360 version of Unreal Tournament 3 / Haze six months behind PS3's version". And that would actually be something significative. However, when this has already been posted in the relevant threads and it's absolutely no big deal at all... :shrug:

Guys if this is true- Two weeks exclusivity for GTA4 IS a big deal.

That game can sell millions in two weeks (exegerated but you know what I mean).

Plus the exclusivity of content as well- It's looking like a much wiser choice to go with the X360 version.
Though for me I'm getting it on PS3 as GTA won't feel at home on an Xbox (lame reason I know).

PC and PS is where GTA was born and raised :p

Oh well maybe the PS3 version looks and plays better?.....>_>

All that means is that they'll have to put some more effort to finish it at the same time, which is nothing out of reach at this point, IMO. The game content is probably completely finished and they've entered the polishing stages, as it should be done in two months. You can bet they're working really hard on it right now, and they're not going to waste their time. The 360 version doesn't seem to be so polished at this point anyway.

Note that historically, R* has always delayed the games by one or two weeks, and it might be the case again. However, I do not mean that only the PS3 version is going to be delayed. Nobody said that.

This does nothing to the PS3 release date. Games can be completed, tested, debugged, and produced in advance of the release just so that they are strategically placed on the market on a given date. Being two weeks behind on the PS3 side won't delay the game.
