Can anyone help me with these to applications. I thought I installed the YUM version of flash, but it seems it did not happen or I don't know where to find it. I also found somthing called the MPlayer, I got the core 5 version and installed it but can not seem to find it anywhere. Is their perhaps some way to find them or did I screw it all up. I got this with the purpose of useing it for WMV since PS3 dosn't support it and also to convert movies, but without that I may not be the kind of guy Linux is for.

This is the kicker about PPC linux distro's. It will be hard to get WMV going. (patent restrictions/legality issues and picky support for PPC).

The only thing i can suggest for wmv support is to try your luck with this:

http://www3.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/essential-ppc-20061022.tar.bz2

You will need to unzip that archive, and open the readme file to read the instructions. I am unsure if that will work but it's the only thing i know.

As for getting mplayer actually working as well as flash - can you tell me the exact names of the packages you installed? also where did you install them from?

I got the Mplayer from this site http://rpm.livna.org/rlowiki/. I downloaded the Core 5 version. With the Flash I got it striaght from Adobe.
