So what do you guys think of this game? It's another one of namco's attempts at a hack and slasher isn't it? Do you expect it to be any good? I saw a little bit of it a couple months ago and was more concerned than interested... what say you?

I'm interested. The video showed some promise with teh motion based controls and Namco has stated they want to take it online and have downloadable content.

looks like it could be fun. so i'm interested but i'm also concerned. i always will be when i comes to Wii games. it's seems like a fine line between good and sloppy controls. an exclusive game is expected to have good controls and if it falls short, people tend to be critical of the Wii remote rather than the developers dropping the ball.

5/10Actually, according to the director of the game (I think it was in a GameInformer article or something, I dunno) they are throwing some of Namco's most valued artists and programers behind the game.

Well let's hope you're right. Motion-sensing combat games are an extremely risky concept at this phase in the Wii's development. Even good teams can go wrong if they aren't careful and meticulous.

I never said they shouldn't be taken. The Wii is basically one big risk, anyway. I'm just saying that nothing is immune to the chance of failure when you're in mostly untested waters.

hey guys and gals

i was a bit bored so i decided to see what SoulCalibur Legends might look like on my TV. it looks even better than i thought.

i'll tell you the steps to show how bored i was.

1. save pic from IGN
2. upload pic to photobucket
3. use Wii's Internet Chanel to view pic on photobucket
4. make sure pic is full size then zoom in until picture fits onto TV

and here is what SCL looks like on my TV

OMG..SCL looks just as good as SCIV on my TV.

ok so i may have cheated a bit. SCL pic was already huge so it didnt need zooming and the flash didnt show up like in the SCIV pic.

i know it wont look as good. just having a bit of fun. but it makes me believe that the game will look good. at least on my TV.

Edit: notice the Nintendo Logo decal on my Wii? i have the best Wii on these boards just because of that.

I'll take your word for it. You can't really get an accurate representation of how good graphics look on TV by a photograph of the TV. Like at all.

Til I just a few seconds ago, I hadn't seen the trailer yet.
Now that I have, I have to say that I really hope the Wii controls are good. That game looks like a lot of fun if it had conventional controls, and I hope that it doesn't become a game where you just flail around and hope to win (like the DBZ fighting game I've seen people play).
The side by side co-op looked fun too!

That hasn't been confirmed. When IGN reported on it, Namco simply said "The possibility of downloadable content has not been ruled out" or something quite similar.

It looks good, but I am wary about the same model for most of the enemies.

Edit: GoG...it looks alright, but even though they aren't real, Legends doesn't come close to the resolution or clarity of IV, even on your tv. :)
