Ok...im gonna be gettin a mac sometime in the next few months...and i'm wondering what progys from Norton I need.

Norton on mac is not the god send norton is for windows. norton "mac" edition is no good. the virus software written for macs is useless because the NO viruses written for macs.

for windows on the other hand norton is great

If I were you, I would not even get a virus program that you have to pay for.

Save the money. You don't need Norton for a Mac. There are pretty much no viruses for Mac and paying all that money would be useless.

There is an estimated 40 viruses for mac and linux while 60, 000 for Windows. Don't worry. My dad has always had a mac and has never gotten a virus.

Also, if you become one of Apple's ".Mac" subscribers you get a copy of MacAffee as part of your subscription fee. But I agree that there's really not much point in purchasing viurs software for a Mac. I've owned Macs for the past four years and have so far contracted no viruses at all. It's just not very likely. Not many virus programmers concern themselves with an operating system used by only 3% of the U.S. population. Exclusivity sometimes has its perks. :)
