This has been on going for some time now and it's pissing me off...

A a little less than a year ago I clocked my internet at over 500 kps and it was like that for quite some time, now when I clock it it's about half that.

Also when I am downloading files from the internet, they start off at like 200kb/s and then gradually work their way down to around 60-70kb/s over a 30 second period or so.

I really doubt this is normal behavious and if you guys can give me some possible reasons to this I will phone up my ISP not sounding some a computer illiterate so I probally have more chance of them coming out and taking a look at it rather than them putting me through to their Indian call center where I get told what to do on my PC.

Nothing that severe has happened to me. I would sure get mad if I had that happen.

I get lucky if I can get my downloads to hit 3 kps.

Are you serious? That is even worse than our schools internet at 6kbs. LOL.

My DSL is around 35kb/s for downloads most of the time.

35 kb/s downloads.
and
300 kb/s speed tests.
It doesn't make sense.
