hmmm.. I like it..... I didn't know this was going to be a complete game mode.....were you can play while editing too..... weird..... but cool, I guess....

but I do wish their was a complete map editing function were people could actually create the level designs as well......kinda of like TimeSplitters.....but way more advanced... oh well....this will stick be sweet

Whats really good is that if many people like your layout, Bungie will put it into rotation. I like the way they listen to the people :).

I first read about it in EGM. The developers were talking about how some of the guys just starting playing jenga in forge mode instead of the actual game... lol

I wanna try and build like a maze/trench tpye thing on a map and put the gravity high so it cant be jumped over, then put a portable lift in the middle so you can jump out.

Yeah, Forge mode looks pretty cool. I'd personally just like to fly around as 343 and take away people's weapons. And the proceed to drop a Scorpion on them.

Or give people weapons with no ammo.

doing stuff like this has always been fun in halo

me and my brothers used to play this game in halo 1 where we would set it to unlimited plasma grenades, and just chuck em all at warthogs as fast as possible, and just watch it fly around

its a lot cooler than it sounds, especially since the vehicles were indestructible in multiplayer

Indestructable vehicles would make my day. Again. I loved that about Halo 1. Having people through plasma grenades at the warthog's tires made for hilarity. As well as driving a Ghost through the bases on Blood Gulch.

and then having tank vs ghost fights

that was the best feeling in the world

charging a tank in a ghost and just flipping as high as you could when you hit it

on sidewinder we would set up the tank on top of wart hogs, and try to flip the ghosts up into the sniper tower things

At least if we are playing offline we can make like a layout with a lot of jumps and be entertained for ages.

I never preordered either. I hope that its not sold out where I am. Although I never needed a preorder for Halo 2.

I haven't pre-ordered, but now I'm thinking I should.

I had to go to a few different stores to find BioShock, and I know Halo 3 is going to be a bigger deal than that.
