My favorite time of the year.

First off, lol @ Michigan.

I thought Notre Dame was going to lose, but not like this. I think Weis put in all 3 of his QB's and still nothing happened. They've really got to be missing Brady Quinn right now. And the defense is still fucking slow.

I'm excited for Florida this year. I remember seeing Tebow play in high school and now he gets to lead the team. Chris Leak was a good QB and brought home the championship, but I was never really a fan of his.

Who is your team, what games are you looking forward to, etc.

Im not much of a college football fan but I do root for Michigan since that is my hometown team.

I could of went to the game today but I thought Michigan would kill Appalachian state so I didn't go.

Florida. Poe, I felt the same way about leak, he was OK but I wasn't a fan in spite of him bring home the title. Tebow crushed whoever they played last week though so I'm not worried about them not being a contender this year at all.

Dralor

Ohio State of course and we looked decent yesterday. The o-line looked a little weak on the goal-line stands and the running backs except for Saine were a bit sluggish but that's what these games are for to work out those kinks.

Zac

I'm actually kind of excited about Washington for the first time in a few years. That win against Syracuse was the first time they crushed a team like that in a long time.

ooooooooo, burn.

Not really looking forward to Tech's season. Pretty sad 17-7 win over ECU in their opener, and we got LSU on Saturday.

Offense is pretty sad and not even the #1 defense in the country can keep it up when the goddamn QB does nothing but 3 and outs and int's.

Dralor
09-04-2007, 11:22 PM
I don't know LSU's offense didn't do much better. The defense just got 7 turnovers like 3 of which were gift wrapped. So it might be a struggle to see who gets some points on the board first

Florida moving up ranks. Tends to happen when you win your opener 49-3. Though I'm curious why they weren't ranked number 1 to start off. They did dominate in the Championship game.

It's because it tends to be based on returning talent not just how god the team looked last year.

the poe collector
09-05-2007, 02:21 AM
Yeah, people wondered if Tebow could do anything more than run and the defense lost a good amount of starters.

A lot of people are hyped on USC because last season was supposed to be the off year and they almost made it to the title game.

I expected Michigan to fall like 15 spots or so, but not completely out of the Top 25. Harsh.

Oregon has a swiss cheese defense. Michigan should be able to score easily.

WolfmanNCSU
09-07-2007, 03:47 PM
I am an NC State Alum, so of course I pull for the wolfpack. We looked horrible in the first half of our opener (Central Florida). Better in the second half, but the hole was way too deep to come back, so a disapointing loss even though Central Florida has been a rising and improving team.

We have BC this weekend, and I doubt they will let us pull the upset hail mary through again. Looks like we will be starting this season 0-2. *sigh*

Not really looking forward to Tech's season. Pretty sad 17-7 win over ECU in their opener, and we got LSU on Saturday.

Offense is pretty sad and not even the #1 defense in the country can keep it up when the goddamn QB does nothing but 3 and outs and int's.

I would not worry too much Colin. ECU's defense is actually really good. Remember, they are the same defense that held West Virginia to its lowest total offense last year too.

I actually got two tickets to watch the pirates beat up on the tarheels Saturday (good friend who is on the UNC football training staff). Should be a lot of fun to watch.

Thank Jesus so many other teams lost so the Gators are still in the Top 10. That was the first time they lost in The Swamp under Meyer. The players in the secondary can hit but they can't cover and those fucking penalties are still killing them.

I can't believe that USF is the one undefeated Florida team this year.

Tebow throws 3 and and takes in 2 himself. The final score could have been a lot worse as the Gators had 35 by half time.

Harvin gained 100+ yards on the ground and through the air. He was making the Vandy defense look horrible.

There was one series that seemed like a bad high school game. Vandy had it first and goal from the 5 and couldn't punch it in. On 4th down, Vandy was intercepted and ran back BUT an odd flag was thrown on Florida so Vandy catches a break and gets a fresh set of down from the 1. Vandy still has trouble just getting the 6 inches required for a TD. The QB lunges over the line but the ball pops out (looked to me like it was before it broke the plane) and is caught mid air by the Gators and ran back 100 yards for what they thought was a TD.... BUT the line judge had already signaled Vandy TD and the review wasn't conclusive enough to show where the ball came out, they had to keep the original call...Vandy TD.

Stupid call by Weis, but you had to think if Navy was ever going to break that streak it was going to be this year.

Alabama had the win against LSU and fucked it up, just like so many other teams in the SEC.

I'm glad Percy Harvin is getting the ball more for Florida. I think next year they'll really have figured out how to use him.

I wasn't surprised that FSU beat Boston College. I think they have the talent to play with any of the top teams, but they're inconsistent. Switching QBs every few games probably doesn't help with that.

Dralor
11-09-2007, 05:42 AM
Brohm is a retard. He has to go 99 yards in 1:39 so he throws a bunch of 5 yard crossing roots scrambles for, 5 yards not getting out of bounds wasting 30 seconds not using a timeout, and finally throws the ball deeper than 9 yard with 9 seconds left on the last to prayers from their own 40.

Tim to the mutha fuckin Tebow.

2 passing TDs and 5 rushing TD's. If he doesn't win the Heisman this year, something is terribly wrong with the awarding committee.

Tim Tebow scores a TD just for showing up to the game. It's like complimentary now.

"Here is your order. Would you like a TD with that?"

He buys a new car and it comes it dual air bags, ABS break, a Bose stereo system and a 3,000 yard, 25 passing/25 rushing TD warranty.

He hands out spare TD's as gratuity in restaurants.

Tim Tebow gets roll over TouchDowns. Whatever TD's he doesn't use this year get rolled over to the next season.

Yeah, I'll stop now.

11-13-2007, 10:20 PM
I agree. What really sucks is that the Bears are close. They were in the super bowl last year. I think the defense this year is just playing tired. They are constantly on the field. The personnel are there, but when the offense can only put together a 3 and out, it does nothing but wear the D down. We don't need a superstar quarter back. We're a run oriented team. What we need is someone who can make a pass; get the first down. 2 or 3 scores could be all this team needs when the defense is playing its game.

Also an O-coordinator that doesn't call a run up the middle or a screen in the flat on 3rd and 15 wouldn't hurt either!

honestly I don't know if he even goes to practice.... he cant even lateral the ball.
