Metroid Prime 400,000 First Week Sales Rumor

This rumor isn't at all correct.....because they just extrapolated data that wasn't 100% correlated to one another......but if you look into the facts....its still means that it did really good......

^you are joking right?!?!...... the only Nintendo game that has been close to that I believe is Zelda....

and the only thing past that (besided games like monster hunter in Japan) is Halo 2 becuase ....for some reason...the whole world feels they have to pre-order it.

Id assume so. Selling 400k from my understanding is impressive for a console game that is pretty limited in its fun factor. AKA, not multi-player at all. Wii = party console though. The old-folks will go nuts over this game, im sure. :|

I never got into the new incarnations into the metroid universe, aka the prime series. I bought MP1 about a year ago, played it once, and was bored with it. I never even made it all the way through metroid prime hunters either. Guess its just not my kinda game.

I'm expecting 250-300k first week which is considered quite good. I suspect NPD won't be much higher since it hit retail late in the month so 400-500k NPD first month. I do expect it will equal that number for Sept NPD and have some decent legs. Final prediction is to surpass sales of the first MP.

all I know is that with the early success of the Wii and the popularity the series has slowly re-gained........and with the fact that i's touted as the first game to nail shooter controls on the Wii......I think it will perform better.

this is my fav metroid prime game...i dunno why...

maybe because its more cinematic... and beam stacking :) makes it more old school.
