Xbox Evolved September Tournament Invitation

Xbox Evolved will be running its monthly tournament in a few weeks but we'd like to extend the invitation out to E-mpire members from all across the world to join in on the fun.

Right now, the tournament will include doubles play in Halo 2 and Gears of War. The rules are no provided as of yet but will be detailed soon after the sign-ups are done.

If you'd like to sign-up for either game let us know in this thread or through e-mail. Partners will not be provided so having one is a must. Deadline is by September 14th which is next Friday.

Let us know if you are interested as soon as possible.

It will be a 2 part tournament -- Live players will be included in one side of a bracket while LAN players will be on the other side.. Champs from each side meet up on an assigned day over Xbox Live.

The LAN part of the tournament will be held on September 22nd. I hope to have the Xbox Live part of it done by September 22nd and have the Xbox Live winners ready to play the winners of the LAN portion on the same day to conclude the tournament.

Shirts will be picked by the winners, though I still have to find all the shirts that will be up for the competition. It will be 2AM on the East Cost. So West coast players will have the luxury of playing at an earlier time.

What you could have done, as well....was order green XE shirts, like we did before E32006...and gave them away as prizes, instead. THEN they'll wear it. Then it'll be advertising.

Anyway, I guess this leaves me to question about the Live vs LAN part of the tournament. How will that be set up? Will the two guys be splitscreening against two people over Live, or something? Host advantage may be an issue as well, considering if two people are splitscreening and hosting. It would be slightly unfair.

If the Xbox Live tournament is going to be during the week, then things should be good. However, from the looks of it, we won't have too many people in the Gears part of it. >.>

Yeah, that was something on my mind as well. How is this tournament going to run? I don't think we'll be playing on Annex considering it's only teams of two, but ya never know. Also, will there be weapon swaps? Are we doing just a simple "whole wins the most rounds in one match" or like "whoever wins 2 out of 3 matches," so more levels are played? Will certain levels be ommited?
We must know these things!

I say just keep it simple....

Play in execution(just my preference). Switch maps whenever a team scores 5 wins. Whoever wins 3 maps first moves on.
