PS3 the Under LIE-ing History and Present!

My PS3 is gathering dust from the day i bought it.
There is no denying that sony will be the market leader since
the days it has Sqaure an Enix in it pants!
And offcourse finally Japs support Japs!
My concern isn't that Ps3 has used the same PR tactics as PS2 showing
fake realtime trailers of games...Lair,Killzone Etc or that the PS3 is inferior to the XBOX360 and Everyone knows that it is truly a Lie and a Hoax!
When you develop the game from ground up the ps3 will definately look better then the latter.... As Capcom main developer working on Resident evil 5 said in Famitsu The only differnce between PS3 and XBOX360 is that the CELL
provides more raw power it is simply an xbox360
with four 3.2 MHZ processors.
From the day one No good quality games have come expect for one or two!
My concern is that SOny promised at every convention that the bomb will
drop but later on it was a lie> Look at E3 or LEIPzig>
Sony hasn't owned one convention to say were it had
a lead in good Software! Yes the wii has been the leader in that matter!
What do you think will sony and it's parties(first/secon/third) continue
bringing out crap games or lazy imports from the Xbox360!

TGS is upon us will the trend continue that wii with it's inferior hardware but Superior Software will take the lead in games..

If you aren't satisfied with your purchase then you should put the ps3 up for sale on eBay and be done with it. Don't like what Sony has shown so far? That's fine as you are, after all, entitled to your opinion but there are plenty of us here who enjoy what is being offered currently and are looking forward to the many promising games/other features (Home in particular) on the horizon. There's no need to post up this flame bait.

I even don't own a PS3 yet but All my friends and people owing the machine are really satisfied. And they bought the console because they already know what they ' re going to have on it. Same for me, I ll get it as soon as I can and I m already satosfied with what comes with it in terms of entertainements and multimedia capabilities.

PR "LIE-ing" or not, thats up for discussion.

Yes, Sony presented MS and KZ with CGI trailers at E3 05... And guess what, KZ2 did a great job at reconstructing the trailer in realtime.

Many, if not all, companys do CGI trailers for promotion. The PS3 trailers were set to a VERY high graphical standard and Sony up until now, nearly delivered all of it (KZ2 not being released yet, but RT footage shows this). I wouldn't call this lieing at all, since they did deliver. Some stuff (PS3 prototype, which was directly said, having 2 HDMIs et al) was lost, due to unnecessity, but this is hardly something people miss (I miss it though, I have two HDCP compatible screens, but my receiver can do HDMI passthru)


The PS3 is on market now for LESS than a year. On November 17th, we are on market for a year (and not even everywhere) and already, the PSN full game downloads show the way to go. Full games for a good price (i.e. Stardust, Warhawk, Tekken, maybe CaC (I don't like it much tbh)) and 24/7 availability. MS and BigN up until now nearly only released retro stuff for much to high prices (10 to 15 year old games for the same price as Tekken DR or SSHD is a bit steep and then some (no multiplayer, extra Controller needed et al)) imho.

So, again, we are now on our 10th month in market. What games were released on the 360 up until this timeframe? Dead Rising (still hoping for a PS3 sequel, like such games), that is about it. GeoW was released later, and games like Uncharted and R&C will be coming soon, as well as GT5P and MGS4. Surely, these games (maybe beside MGS) won't sell as many copies as GeoW, but combined they will sell MANY more copies than one game alone, especially since these games cater for a much bigger audience than hardcore bald space marine lovers.


And the Wii in the lead? So what. I now had a complete weekend to play the Wii and I am totally unimpressed by it (yes, only my and my brothers opinion). The Wii up until now had 2 to 3 good games (Zelda, Paper Mario and now MP3), the rest were either bad PS2 ports or simple crap (Red Steel^^). The price is what differentiated the Wii mostly (250€ to 400€ or 600€ IS very easy to decide) and Zelda. We will see how this pans out in the future. I dare not say how the Wii fares in the next 5 years.


If the PS3 does not have any games you want, why did you buy it so soon. Early adopters ALWAYS have this problem of a game drought in the first year. Did you think, there were unannounced games that pop out of nowhere to come to your console? I was fully aware, that MS was the only game for a long time for me (that's why I bought many used PS2 games in the meantime).

My opinion is a lot of things have happened, and I still want to play FF, GT, GTA, MGS, KZ and etc etc etc. The sooner those games are out the better, there's not much more to it now for me, but for people who don't have a PS3 yet as well the price needs to lower asap and I'm sure that's something they are looking at.

I mean.. it's not like it's unclear for what Sony needs to do and what help they need from their gaming partners.

I can guarantee that Sony won't be doing any 360 ports, but 3rd parties are free to do whatever they like. The year head start it had meant it is the lead platform for the majority of multiplatform games, but that could change as it seems to be easier to port from PS3 to 360.

Tbh, I only own one (1) PS3 BD game (MS) and 2 BD movies (Casino Royale, which I got for free and 300, which was worth all its money). The rest of the games don't suit my taste. I am still waiting for a Jak and Daxter game, as well as GTA, GT and MGS and FF... I can wait, I have several other things to do beside gaming.

Killzone gameplay matched the video shown. heck everything shown on the PS3 in 2005 has been matched and surpassed... are you living under a rock?

and the PS3 is an extremely well built machine.... best console built to date for technical advances and reliability.

The market may be given Sony a hard time, but I'm more impressed with the PS3 then any other console ever made.

PS2 launched in Japan several months before other territories so the initial games were naturally more Japanese centric. The US launch was nothing huge but it had several big name games not long after that.

It did have a few duds near launch (kinda like Lair for it's time) but graphically it was well above Dreamcast and the GC/Xbox didn't release until nearly 2 years after PS2 did.

It had a supply shortage for 2-3 months and then broke all sales records after that. It sold incredibly good. 900,000 units sold at the Japanese launch. 20 million were sold even before the GC/Xbox hit the shelves.

It launched in the US for $299.99. The PS launched in the US also for $299.99. The Saturn was $399.99. The only people calling the PS2 too expensive were Sega Dreamcast fans since they paid just $199.99.

The only thing analysts were knocking it for were low software sales in Japan (they were buying it as a cheap DVD player there at first) and development difficulty. I can't recall a single analyst that actually claimed it would fail.

I know you guys like to draw parallels between the PS2 early years and the PS3 early years they don't match up very well. Teeda, I don't mean to single you out for anything bad since I read everything you just said from a lot of other people too but when you go looking it all up you find it's not the case.
