Okay, I am going to be getting this jukebox from iRiver. It's everything that I want.
What do you think about it.

I think it is way too expensive. And the shape looks like it will be awkward. But if the stats fit for you, go for it.
I have an iRiver and I am very happy with it.

If it's too expensive, what other alternatives do I have. Something similar. I would appreciate it if you told me.

ugh, I'm not entirely sure if you really can't think that well for yourself or if you just don't want to.

Is that double sarcasm or something? That link is extremely helpful.
You should be ashamed.

ugh...
I was assuming that since you knew of this relatively low key mp3 player from iriver, you would know that it falls under the category of micro drive player of which (i thought you knew) you have several selections. those of which are outlined in my link with reviews.
Others to consider would be an mp3 cd player from panasonic.
Iriver products are rare in Canada and. even rarer in Alberta.

I have never even seen a iRiver in alberta. I knew it was a hard drive one. I am considering an iPod as well. An iPod is going to cost me $75can more. A the 15gb one that is.
How is the control and everything on the iPod? It looks like it could be a little better then the iRiver. I am going to the city tommorow to take a look at an iPod and many others.

the ipod is known as the most user friendly music player on the planet. meaning: THe controls are th best out of all of them. $400 for it plus you can get an edu discount or buy it today for a 10% off at Best Buy.

^Really? The nearest Best Buy is in Edmonton, which is 2 hours from me. About this edu discount, how do you get it?
I did some researching last night on the iPod and have decided that I will get it instead because it comes with a lot more and is probably better. London Drugs has the 15Gb one for $374.98 and then I have a $30 gift card. So I think I may get it from London Drugs.
About the iPod battery, is it true that it completely wears out after like a year? I remember seeing a movie from this forum on it.

yeah that should be fine
edu discounts is 10% off but you have to go to a university to get it...
or order online form apple.ca
sounds like a good deal from london drugs
how many gb of music you got?
The battery has a life of 1000 hours. Realistically, under very heavy usage (4 hours a day minimum) for a year and ahalf, yes, the lithium ion battery will run out. Get a 1 year extended warranty with it if the price is reasonable. my brother bought the 2 year just in case.
Also, even if its past warranty, you can go to places like macrescue.com who do complete ipod battery replacement for $79 US. Might seem pricey but better than the $300 US apple charges you.

Nomad Zen Xtra > iPod, iRiver when it comes to back for your buck. From what I've read it has the best sound quality and it is the strongest built, I love mine.

Honestly, if you are considering a device like that you should consider the Mini-Ipod or the Nomad, as was suggested.
I have heard good things about both.

The iPod Mini is the biggest waste of money ever. A 4 gig iPod Mini for the price of a 40 gig Nomad Zen Xtra? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I am giving him options, Mr. Adam. Of course, if a 40 Giabyte drive is within te same range as the mini I-pod, then I personally would get that over the I-Pod. Some people just prefer Apple's product over its competeitors for one reason or another, so i usually offer it as an alternative.
