Did the new version update this last Friday.
All went normal, all installed fine. But...
Now I get "network error" when I try to go anywhere on the web browser. I CAN sign into PSN, but when I try to go to the store it says "communication error".
Anyone know what gives, or what I have to do to fix it?
I do most of my browsing nowadays on my ps3, and also it's a bummer not being able to get to the store.
:(

Delete the cookies in the browser.

you aren't alone, and sony knows about and is patching this issue.

Deleting the cookies should make it work, at least temporarily. Don't worry, Sony knows about this, and I'm sure they're working on a patch as we speak.
EDIT: Or just read frosty's post, lol!

It seems to me that Sony should first give the updates to a smaller group of volunteers. For example, 1000 people that would test the new updates. From them Sony could learn if there is a problem that needs to be fixed. They could fix the problem BEFORE sending out the update to the whole wide world.

These things happen, I'm sure it is tested as much as reasonably possible...

It only affects a small number of people, and Sony can't test every possible network setup to check for problems.

Thanks all. I'll try that and hang tight till an update.
I had similar issue, everything was normal downloaded the stranglehold demo then PS3 network issue happened.
I did the following and everything is normal now.
Under settings -> system settings -> restore defaults -> ok.
PS3 would reboot, after this do the initial setup like setting language, time and date...
Then go under network setting, re-entry your original setup. Now the network should work fine.

I deleted my cookies and it all works fine now.. Weird.
If I start to use cookies again I wonder if it will mess up.

I am also having network problems, but they were intermittent. Deleting the cookies/clearing the cache in the Internet Browser helped but.
Now I am getting lock-up in Warhawk. I mean total system Lock-ups. The PS3 button does not get me back to the Xbar, in fact it does nothing. I have to flip the switch on the back and re-boot. The first time that this happened, I had to reset the clock when it came back up.
Has anyone else experienced this:question:
I suspect that this is related to the network issues, but it's annoying in its own right.

Anyone else having trouble "obtain[ing] CD Information?" I just got the new Kanye album and everytime i try to get the CD info, nothing happens, it just goes back to the XMB. Another 1.92 problem?

Yes, it has happened to me several times. I doubt it has anything to do with the network issues, it's just an annoying bug.

Maybe it hasn't been added to the database yet. You can do it yourself, if you want to. I think it's user-updated.
