Ace Combat 6 and Eternal Sonata coming to PS3 soon

It's most likely that all three Namco titles a bit in doubt of a PS3 version are definitely coming to it as well. As a matter of fact, it seems confirmed for all of them.

Atari own showroom "Go play manga" just happened and atari announced " Ace Combat 6 : Fires Of Liberation" with a Playstation 3 version including a partnership with "Dassault Aviation"

The most important news is possibly AC6, as this is the first evidence of a PS3 version. Eternal Sonata has had an ESRB rating for PS3 for a long time now, and Beautiful Katamari now has a TBD release date for PS3 as well, check the Nobi Nobi Boy thread for this.

Im still dissapointed that its multiplat. BUT im glad that i still can play through all Ace Combats on console.

EDIT: I was on the 3 AC6 sites and all of them just had X360 advertisement.
Maybe we will have an announcement at the TGS, but after i was on the sites im a bit pessimistic.

Anyway, I don't think all the people who have been posting the details on this have been making things up or got the statement wrong. AC6 is officially coming to PS3, and it's not a surprise at all. It's just a matter of when, which I guess will be early/mid 2008.

From the Atari event yesterday, the AC6 on PS3 confirmation seems 100% official. It'll be timed exclusive at best. Katamari Damacy isn't even exclusive, that's for sure.

Really wasnt impressed with Ace Combat 6, even being a fan of previous Ace Combat titles.

Eternal Sonata is rather well done though and should at least be a rental for many rpg fans.

The problem with the Ace Combat series, especially the PS2 iterations, is that as great as they are when taken individually, playing them side-by-side reveals the extent to which these games have the exact same levels. They're all fun, but for the love of god we need more than "defeat superweapon1, defeat superweapon2, death star trench run to stop superweapon3."

There's only so much variety you can add to a given genre, sadly. At least, first time players will get a polished experience. Ace Combat 5 was awesome, Zero felt quite low-budget and X (PSP) was awesome again, IMO. I think I should get AC4 because I'm always hearing good things about it. I hope the PS1 ones are made available on PSN sometime, that would rock.

The funny thing is some missions in AC04 are almost the SAME as in AC02.
But i played all Ace Combats on PS1 & 2 and i love this actually.
It gives you some sort of a retro feeling and you just feel the AC vibe.
