Apparently someone in AU got their hands on an early copy of Halo 3 and put it up on Ebay. Hope the winner doesn't plan on going on Live with it...

I can't believe he set a limit on the amount. He couldn't made a shitton of money off that. Like, thousands, I bet.

Why would anyone pay thousands of dollars for a game that's out in like two weeks?

I do think he could've gotten more than $124 for it.

He should never have put it up on eBay. Go through Craigslist or create a web page for it. eBay removes anything any company demands.

Agreed, as far as games go he would have made a killing, but shit people are paying $130 MSRP for a helmet, I guarantee they would have payed more on ebay for a two week headstart on the game...

I work for MLG. I know a number of kids who make thousands of dollars a year playing Halo 2. To get a 2 week headstart on the competition, they would easily fork out a thousand bucks.

Since you work for MLG, do you really think two weeks would that make much of a difference?

I'd think it might give them a headstart for a while, but then eventually other skilled players would be able to catch up.

You don't realize how competitive these kids are.

Its like, if Barry Bonds had a two week headstart over the competition on a new steroid supplement.

That's how these kids think.

Yeah they are crazy good (atleast from what I can tell watching it on TV). I wish I could be that skilled at games, I just don't have the kind of time they do, or the skills.

Well, if you were able to sign a 250,000 dollar contract over 3 years to play a game you love, would you really even call yourself obsessed?

Anyway, point made.

If I was a rich bitch, I'd spend a shitton of money to get a copy of Halo 3 early. I won't lie.
