Microsoft never banned anyone for playing Halo 3. This is what I am at least told by a few of their PR. It was just a spin to get people excited to play it and hyped up that some people have it early.

wow, i guess you werent lying lol. my bad, i appoligize. So what, you updated your xbox 360 and logged onto live after playing Halo 3 or how did he get to see your achievements you got?

^^ I'm not really sure what the purpose of the Live update is, but yes I downloaded the new update. I heard that the MP matchmaking was not live yet, but considering the game is not officially released that does not surprise me at all... The Coop is definately up and running and I played with a buddy who managed to snag the game early. I think the Coop supports up to 16 players; now that would be chaos... If you play coop it's definately got to be on the Legendary difficulty, but Legendary is a bitch playing alone the AI is the best I have ever seen in a Videogame. It almost feels like you are playing against real intelligence. Other shooters need to take notes regarding Halo's AI on Legendary, because it's incredible...

Dude, if there was a 16 player co-op, the game would explode. Multiple (approximately 16) 360s would explode.

They'd have to make a difficulty harder than Legendary if 16 player co-op was possible.

I just fired up the game and in the campaign lobby it list 1 Player (16 max)...
This would lead me to believe up to 16 players can play coop campaign.
*Perhaps the number of enemies is increased when you play with a large group...*

Co-op supports 4 player Online/Offline only. 16 is for the other types of online play.

I guess 16 is the max for your party, and then if you switch to Coop a message will pop up saying there are to many player for this mode like halo 2 does for some modes
