Aggggghhhh. You can't escape that damn advertising campaign no matter what. That was horrible.

It wasn't an advert, it was part of the NFL Today intro sequence.

You know how the intro shows snippets of teams playing each other with a voice over giving inspiring words? Halo 3 was mixed in directly into that showing gameplay though it had absolutely nothing to do with football at all.

which one is NFL today?
the only pregame show I watch is the terry bradshaw show
and I don't remember seeing anything about halo on that.

That's the Fox pre-game which hosts the NFC games. The CBS pre-game, which hosts the AFC games, is the offending pre-game show.

Ya, they better be up to something as the only PS3 ads I'm aware of as of recent are HS ones. If something isn't planned I'm going to be pissed.

i don't mind that since it's a good opening theme but usually the special events (mainly) NFL and other sports have. Each and every one of them play country music...it's gut wrenching.

usually during the super bowl. All I know if there going to be some type of heavy media coverage with a special event, country music is going to be in it.

Maybe a long time ago but country music doesn't make the half time show very often anymore at all. It's usually either the big pop stars of the moment or a throwback to a pop star way back when.

So... I know I am responding late, but have you seen the billion Peyton Manning Commercials? you know Halo 3 ad would be everywhere prior to the launch and it was a perfect spot to whore out the game, the Halo ad whoring will only be there for that one show, but Peyton Manning whoring will be there for the entire NFL season.

I think you've missed something. This wasn't a commercial. It was built into the NFL Today introduction sequence. Imagine watching your favorite TV and they combine the intro, theme music and all that with Halo 3.
