I'd go along with what people are saying about Half Life 2 alone being the PS3 game of the year, Epsidoes 1 and 2, Portal and Team Fortress make it a great bundle. Couldn't see myself getting bored of Team Fortress 2 online.

I'm just saying the package as a whole is great but I don't think HL2, a 2004 PC game should qualify as the best PS3 game.
It's still awesome no doubt but PS3 has it's own stuff like Resistance and Ratchet and Uncharted etc to challenge for the title.

It will be a bit sad if a 2004 PC game (an awesome one, but still) DID win the PS3 game of the year :/

Half-Life 2 is probably the most overrated game of forever and beyond. The overall package does have some cool stuff though but meh..

Personally I'm almost certain that HS is my GOTY, all platforms included. Uncharted and Mass Effect have a small chance of topping it but I doubt it..

I think we already have the PS3 GOY: Warhawk. I have high hopes for Uncharted, but after the relatively low review scores of Lair and Heavenly Sword (which have made me wait until those are cheaper to buy) I'm worried about Uncharted, too. As long as we're considering older games, I think Oblivion gives most of the other AAA games a good fight. GOTY in 2004 on PC still plays strong in 2007. Warhawk is the only other game that has given me more than 20 hours entertainment on PS3 this year. Oblivion gave me hundreds. I'm at 35 on Warhawk and counting...
