A euro's without england?...sadly its true.
What your opinions will england qualify? Will Russia slip up against isreal and give us a ALIGHT chance? Do we deserve to qualify? Will it be the same without england?
i hope we dont for one reason, so they can sack McClaren, he was never right for the job, he had an alright season or two at Boro and all of a sudden he's good enough at International level? he is the managerial version of Downing (who is up his arse btw), he can scrape by in the Premiership but you cannot afford to mess up at this stage. To be fair his striking options have been limited with how many games Crouch has played but Owen tonight did pretty much nothing, the same as when he last started with Rooney, Rooney chased just about everything and all he got was shit for dropping deep...people need to understand he's not a centre forward, never was...he got 23 goals for United last season dropping deep and he never really hit form, with him being that much of a threat they should cater to his needs attacking wise and leave Owen out as they just don't play well together. Lescott was terrible at the weekend and wasn't great yesterday, personally i'd have started Phil Neville at left back, he's versatile enough to play in the position and his experience would have been a pay off in the circumstances. The pitch was bad yes but that was a problem the FA or whatever governing body should have dealt with. Barry deserved to start, Gerrard was dissapointing again, sloppy and very uncharacteristic of his usual self, Micah is a solid defender but gets caught out on the right hand side when he goes up field and needs to track back and defend the crosses. Personally i think England need more options out wide, Downing, J Cole an SWPhillips are the only fit wingers i think, hopefully Lennon gets back quickly...a risky solution for a leftback would be Leighton Baines
long story short England have all the talent in the team, unfortunately Smiley McClaren is too busy saying how great Robinson is in net instead of making the managerial decision to put David James in, Robinson has had his chance, hopefully Ben Foster recovers quickly enough to get in the team...do we deserve it? no we missed too many chances and made too many excuses, the quality is in the team but we just don't have a world class manager who can make them work together

Couldn't of said it better myself
Though id of risked Nicky Shorey at left back over lescott (who iv never rated) and i agree i wouldn't of played owen and Rooney together he was big enough to drop lampard but not owen or Rooney we need a manager who will stand up and be strong enough to make those type of decisions. And that man was never McLaren, the fact he didn't drop Robinson proved that, yes robinson had kept 5 cleans sheets in a row but if he had looked at it properly he'd of seen Robinson had nothing to do in those games which was the reason he kept clean sheets. I d love to see us qualify but as you said if we don't McLaren goes so it wont be all bad
