Anybody have any first hand knowledge of the backward compatibilty of Guitar Hero 3's Les Paul? Is it fully functional with GH1 and GH2 when played on the PS3?
With IGN and 1Up kinda going back and forth on the issue. I'd rather get it straight from the horses mouth (not to call you guys horses).

Im not sure about this.
But on NeoGaf a guy said that by using the Radio Shack PSX TO PS2 usb adapter you could use the PS2 controller on the PS3 for GH2 but for GH1 it was lagging.
btw for the GH2 you will have to recalibrate the lag which isnt possible in GH1 AFAIK.

Activision Sued for GH: Rocks the 80s Track
Romantics do not like Activision's use of their hit song.
By Philip Kollar, 11/26/2007
Activision did not have a great Thanksgiving week. Not only are they finally up against competition for their suceessful Guitar Hero franchise in the form of Rock Band, but as of Thanksgiving morning they're also facing a federal lawsuit. According to a news story on CNN, rock band The Romantics are suing Activision for the use of their song "What I Like About You" on the Rocks the 80s edition of Guitar Hero.
The band's attorney clarified that the lawsuit is not a copyright claim issue. Activision went through all the right motions in order to acquire the rights to use a cover version of "What I Like About You" on Rocks the 80s. Their problem is rather that the cover is too good. The cover song sounds so close to the original that the Romantics claim it has infringed on the rights to their likeness.
The lawsuit may seem strange and potentially frivolous, but we'll find out how seriously the courts are taking it soon. Alongside an unspecified sum for damages, the band has requested an injunction to remove copies of Rocks the 80s from store shelves.

I though that was the jist of cover music, to be as near to the source as possible?

Haha, wow. That is a first. Getting sued for a cover being too good...
