I just noticed they made a PS3 controller with vibration which is $40, cheaper than Sony's Sixaxis with 300 hrs battery life, up to 10 times longer battery life. Will it work after firmware update with games like Ratchet, Uncharted, ect ? I'm so jumping on that thing.

I don't care about motion sensing, if it has better features.
I'm curious when Sony is gonna update PS3 with vibration and if I can play with that controller ?

But so many games are implementing motion sensing, so you kind of need it to be able to get through games now....

Lair is a great example...

Or Folklore, or Ratchet and Clank, or Uncharted, or Heavenly Sword, or....
pretty much most of the games worth playing on PS3.
And Lair!

There^.
I don't go touting Lair's trumpet, I really enjoyed the game but you know it's all over the place with people, more than any game I can think of in recent memory. The media wouldn't shut up about how broken it was, and I just had a holistically different experience than apparently ALL of them did.

I know, we still debate about it in class with professors and such.

Damn, you've convinced me to wait for Dual Shock 3.
I just wish battery life was longer on that thing.

We're only here to help, brother. Battery life doesn't really bother me since they charge straight from the PS3, and indefinitely.

Ugh, no motion? What the fuck is the point? That's like not having an analog stick last gen for 3rd party controllers. Fooken pointless.

Im poor anyway, I'd rather it come out in time for MGS4 since thats what it's really made for.

Not worth it for that shitty D-Pad. Step your d-pad game up, Logitech.
*smh*

Yeah, I'm just gonna celebrate DS3 by purchasing along with MGS4.
IIRC, the Logitech was not BT as well. You have to stick in a dongle.

I hate motion controls. I ususally turn them off and use the analogue stick for games like Ratchet and Clank.

Well the imperfection is yours. Maybe you can make up for it by donating to a charity, or mentoring a child or something.

I remember when the analog stick came out and many people at first hated it.

For what it's worth, IGN didn't really love it (http://gear.ign.com/articles/795/795971p1.html).

I think the fact that I don't like it comes from it being so clunky in said games like Heavenly Sword and Rachet and Clank (don't argue with me, when I do something near perfect with the analog stick and then mess up hardcore with motion controls, that is clunky to me). I'm sure if I played Warhawk, Flow or something that was desiged around motion controls, I'd probably have a better time with it. Then again, maybe not.
That being said, I don't care for rumble either, so w/e in any case.
