Crysis screens resized from 1920x1200 (well not all of them) running at 40fps average with nothing below 30fps. Settings are high/very high.

I was surprised at how well my computer ran it. I did an auto detect and it put everything on low at 1024x768, but then i changed everything to medium and kept it as the same resolution and it ran perfectly. I might put it on high and see how it goes. (I have a 7800gt 512mb, 2gig ram and dual3.2ghz P4)

I'm on XP but hacked the config files to run on Very High for most options and a res of 1400 x 900 and it plays pretty good. Looks sick on Very High settings. It adds a certain realism to everything.

Open files with NotePad and you'll see something like this (minus the bolding).

The part that I bold you need to copy and paste over section 3.
The bracketed numbers refer to the settings level.
1 - low
2 - medium
3 - high

By copying that section with no bracket number, which is the settings for Very High, and pasting it over the data for number 3, the system will enable all Very High options under the High system setting. Do this for all the config files and then run the game on High settings for everything and it will actually run in Very High.
