On the bottom of each and every Gamecube, their exists 3 ports.

The parallel port is used for the HardDrive attachment developers use for creating games, the attachment for the GB player, and as well for a possible HardDrive for us in the future.

The one , larger serial port is used for a modem attachment in both Broadband and narrow band(PhoneLine).

Now comes the third inconspicious serial port. What does it do..I DON'T KNOW! Maybe device attachment? Game Cheat Devise?
An attachment that will save Nintendo's advertising campagine by trasmitting TV/Radio advertisments for the Nintendo Gamecube?
I honestly don't know...But I hpe my last prediction is correct.

Any guesses, thoughts, comments, or tomatos you care to throw or share?

Serial Port 1-56k Modem/Broadband Adapter
Serial Port 2-HD
Hi-Speed Port-??????

I don't know really but unless those peripherals that seem to connect under the GCN could be one unless they can connect to SP 1 and 2.

maybe it is for like a DSL thing with the GCN, like faster loading times and faster, smoother gameplay?

It's either for the GB Player, or for the Network thing that Nintendo might reveal at E3 this year.

One is for Broadband, the other is for 56k, and the smallest one is probably for upgrades. I'm not sure if the Broadband and 56k go in different spots, because I don't own any of them. All Nintendo's consoles have room for upgrades, so I assume GC does too. Even NES had an extra port, but you have to cut away the plastic. A company used the port for a modem attachment. SNES also has an ext. port .
