Which games are you skipping or putting off this fall/winter?

I have purchased Bioshock, Halo 3, and Orange Box so far. I plan on getting Super Mario Galaxy this week.

So far, the only game that I want that I have skipped is Call of Duty 4. I will also be skipping Assassin's Creed this week. I won't be purchasing Mass Effect, and I'll probably have to wait on Rock Band :(

What are you guys skipping or delaying?

Waiting on Fire Emblem 10. Urgh! I really want to play that game, but it's just not in the cards right now. I'm also probably waiting on Rock Band and Eternal Sonata (and Bioshock maybe) because I don't have my 360 yet and likely won't have one until after Rock Band is out, if that counts.

CoD4 because I want to buy it through Steam BUT stupid Activision put it up for $81 so I won't be buying that until they get the price down.

Buying a PS3 with Uncharted on Dec 7th and oh yeah baby, it's full on gaming from then out! :rockon:

I bought Eternal Sonata because I was really really waiting for it.
Then til a coupe days ago, I didn't buy any new releases.
I got Mario & Sonic Olympics because I was hanging out with my sister and wanted to play, but I hadn't planned on purchasing it.
I was going to pick up Super Mario Galaxy, but now I probably won't because I bought a different $50 Wii game.
I wanted Blue Dragon on 360 and still do, but probably am not going to buy it anytime soon either.
I really wanted GH3 but didn't buy it.
Maybe I'll get Rock Band, but maybe not.
I really want Geometry Wars for DS or Wii.
There's other games on 360, Wii, and DS that I'm looking forward to too but probably won't pick up either.
I dunno, there's tons of stuff I want but I also already have so many games I haven't finished... or that I see for cheap rather than full price.
So I dunno.

The one thing I know for sure I'm buying is Omega Five, a new XBLA shmup... because my best friend bought me MS points for my birthday, so it's free.

I'm shelving everything except for Super Mario Galaxy. I will be playing a lot of PS2 games because my gamefly subscription is allowing me to quickly find the ones I like and only purchase those. Once I have completed purchasing all the PS2 games I like, I'll do the same with the Wii's current lineup.

I was planning on skipping out on CoD4, but it was just too damn tempting, so I got it yesterday :-D

I'll be skipping Rock Band, I already skipped Eye of Judgment and Folklore (gonna get those on Sony's Retailer Loyalty Site though), and I'll be skipping Orange Box, Kane & Lynch, and probably Uncharted, depending on how much money I have (the demo made me really want it)...

The only one left this year that I'm determined to get is HAZE :)

we all play each other's games, because the consoles we have are basically "everybody's"

so i get to play all the games that i wouldnt be able to get by myself

but yeah, i doubt that ill skip any of the major 360 releases this fall

You know I really liked HL2 but these episodes seem to be simply drowning the series in boredom rather than keeping me interested. The main problem with the Orange Box is that the vast majority of the content feels very dated.

Seriously though, to stop that [it getting boring] from happening, Valve updated the Steam engine for each episode and I think it adds a nice extra layer.

And they still do gameplay like no other, IMO.

Anyway sorry, this is ot a Orange Box thread.

Also, it comes down to a matter of money and prioritizing, and I'm a FRD/HAZE man before I'm a Valve/HL man, bottom line :-D
