PS3 freeze many time after firmware 2.0!!

my PS3 freezed many time

last one when i plying Warhawk

what about you guys anyone have the same problem?!!

I had some freezes here and there especially in Warhawk but even before 2.0.
A tip before go out of a game go first to the main menu and make sure that its not loading, this could lead to freazing.
In Warhawk its because of the internet connection i think.

its freeze in XMB

I only ever freeze when coming out of a long folding session... and once in Oblivion in the crazy melee battle (if you've played it you know which one).

Warhawk has frozen on me like 4-5 times, some where before 2.0 and some were after. I have like 60 hours logged so far on that game.

Warhawk seems to be the main culprit here. I've never had a freeze with any other PS3 games I've played so far, but I've had to cold shut the PS3 down when it comes to Warhawk.

The RSS reader fucks up performance, so I disabled it (and the news it shows are 2 weeks old!)

I've had freezes on Motorstorm, WarHawk Beta, (thats too be expected) and once on the regular Warhawk

I have frozen once in Oblivion and 2-3 times in Motorstorm, all were before 2.0.

I had access to the console for about 2months and froze twice in MotorStorm.

One time was when my Xbox360 fanbot brother was watching and he went into a laughing mania lol

Then a few weeks from then, he got the RROD heehee

But yeah it wasn't a good feeling to see it freeze, pretty annoying and worrying in fact.

Mine froze once long ago, when I loaded a PS3-designed third party web site on the web browser that used a plugin to watch streamed video. Well, it didn't really freeze because it kept working, but I couldn't go back to the XMB.

I think it froze another time while doing something else in the XMB, but I can't remember what it was. It was nothing serious at all both times, and most importantly, it has never happened while playing games. It hasn't frozen again in months now, it works like new.

Mine hasn't froze once so far, I guess I've been lucky. Wish I could say the same about my 360.

One hardware freeze when I was online playing MotorStorm (I had to use the power switch on the back, to completely shut it off and then on), and one software freeze while loading the track on the GT Japanese demo (the PS3 just reset after I pressed the front on/standby switch (no controller activity at all)).

Both happened before the 2.00 system software. And no freeze at all with WARHAWK (~40 Hours).

Some are experiencing freezes since the release of 2.0, this must be some sort of software problem. Many of them are associated with BD playback and Warhawk among other things.


I have never had any freezes on either console I own (or at least that I remember).

I've had freezes in Guitar Hero 3. Online mode after choosing a venue it freezes sometimes.

My bro had it freeze in Uncharted, but I think that might have been a glitch in the game rather than the PS3.

Not sure though.

Yet to play Warhawk after 2.0, I've been playing Resistance online, no freezes so far.
In fact, I have never experienced any freezes with PS3. *knocks on wood*
