PlayStation 3's dwindling game lineup for this holiday season just went down by one more: Ubisoft has pushed its PlayStation 3-exclusive shooter Haze into 2008. Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the delay of Unreal Tournament III, doesn't that do it for PlayStation 3 third-party exclusives, this year? I don't know if it's really that relevant at this point, given that PS3's holiday was going to be pretty slim pickings anyway.

Ubisoft didn't give a reason for the delay, which was slipped into their latest financial results. It's just as likely that it's due to financial reasons -- wanting the PS3 userbase to grow before they ship the game, or wanting it out of the holiday madness -- as developmental ones.

idk, i only remember seeing one level of Haze. Maybe they weren't satify with the final product and adding more?

Haze looks really boring to me.

MGS4 is keep on going to get delayed so you might as well cross that out from "OMG NEWS!" section.
Hideo is a perfectionist and until he is 100% happy, that game isn't going to be released.
Might be another two years for all we know.

If they delayed it, it's definitely for good although it sucks it will miss the holiday season. However, the reviewers were going to trash it in its current state and months later we'd just see reviews stating how vastly superior the 360 version is. They'll have an opportunity to make it nice on PS3, which is essentially good news, but...

I'm never bothered by any MGS4 delays. It is a given it'll be a masterpiece and it would be terrible that Kojima doesn't create the game he really wants to create because of time constraints. Don't assume it's possible to deliver games on time while satisfying all the enormous hype, these things happen for good, even though naturally we'd all like the game it's meant to be before the end of the year.

Not yet, although it's finally been confirmed as a multiplatform game a few days ago. Still PS3 lead platform though.

Second, does anyone really care about Haze anymore?

Did you just name 4 FPS's? ironically the game delayed is what? A FPS. Doesn't seem like it will be missed this season.

well, haze, cod4, orange box, and ut3 are all fps. I guess technically in his post that he did mention 4.

I'm not bothered. Gives me plenty time to finish ratchet, get uncharted, finish it then get warhawk and some other stuff I can't remember. Once UT3 and Haze comes out I'll have plenty time to finish those as well.

Should be lighter on me wallet too.

i dunno, to be honest, I've been kinda trying to get to games between my PS3 and PSP...

PSN sometimes comes with a few surprises that eat a nice week outta my regular PS3 time...

And FFtactics on PSP will literally be a 2 week gaming session...

I think there's more than enough on PS3 this Holiday season--mind you that 3rd party games like COD4 will be bloody awesome...

Far too much gaming to care about let alone another mindless oversturated genre filled market like that of the FPS games.

Also, this Thursday, Ubisoft is coming down to our school for a 3 hour presentation I cant fucking wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
