Looks to be pretty good from what you can make out in the second. Since the vid was so dark, the joker reminds me of the crow but definately how he should be looking.
I wonder if they're gonna remake all the old batman movies, or semi-old anyway it was just the 90's. Hopefully they'll get a better freeze and ivy though if they do.
edit: Found the second trailer on youtube, but don't know how long it's gonna stay up because they've been getting taken down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1h88OSZFc50&feature=bz301

The Batman series went to hell after Keaton left, but the last one really brought my faith back to the series and hopefully this one will continue to keep it.

Batman Begins is the definitive Batman as far as I'm concerned, and I can't wait for The Dark Knight.

There are three trailers. One is a teaser and shows nothing, just a voice over the batman symbol being torn up, and was released a while back.
The next was released with IMAX showings of I Am Legend. It was around 6 minutes and was basically called the "prologue", and apparently focuses on the Joker throughout.
The final one is the 2 minute version you can see almost anywhere now and was also released with I Am Legend, but was essentially a normal trailer. I saw this version and was disappointed i didnt get the 6 minute one, and im actively searching for this version. I also doubt that website will have the 6 minute preview. :|

Teaser trailer- Bat Symbol
Trailer- 2 min version you refer of with I am Legend.
prologue- Actually to tell you the truth it doesn't really focus on the Joker. It actually focuses on William Fletcher, then the Joker pops in.

Agreed. The first two Batman films were my favorite from that series, after which they just got more colorful and more ridiculous, and Batman & Robin officially killed the films altogether. I was so happy that they wiped the slate clean and started over with Batman Begins, and I really agree with the direction they took. Batman Begins had a level of believability, and that's important with Batman because we're not dealing with a superhero with superpowers but a regular Joe... with a bit of money to burn.
The wait for Dark Knight has felt like just a few moments shy of eternity. It simply can't get here soon enough.

Fantastic trailer.
I can't wait for this film, I thought Batman Begins was a great change of direction, but this blows that out of the water in every respect in my opinion.
That's my favourite one too man!

I saw the trailer today when I went to see I Am Legend.
I love the fact that it has that same darkish type like the first two movie did.
Christian Bale did a great job.
Joker is pretty sick.
Ledger's first good role.

and i found the 6 minute prologue, and it focuses on the heist of a bank, Joker is finally revealed in the end. And then a montage of footage.

It is footage from the movie, yes. And then a short montage that wont be included in the movie in montage form.
I dont know if this is the beginning of the movie, but the 5+ minutes of bank heist will be in the movie.
Ur question wasnt constructed very well.

Finally a good quality trailer, and the Joker looks badass, though not quite as I imagined him. He fits in with the general art style of the new movies, I guess.

If it's anywhere near as good as Batman Begins, the Dark Knight will be awesome. I hope there's no villains besides the Joker and Two-Face.
I actually hope there's not that much Two-Face.

I hope they save most of Two-Face for 3, since they'll be running out of classic villains soon if they do two in a single movie.
Is there an mp4/divx/wmv version of this trailer somewhere?

Joker is a prominent villain in this film. Two face has a very minimal part, he will be focused on in the third film. Their is also is a gang war between three gangs since Carmine Falcone became insane. Joker robs the mobs bank. Gamble is also in the film.
Then you have minor cameos by Zzazz, Scarecrow (rumor) , etc.

I think the Joker is a villain worth devoting the whole movie to, without anyone else getting in the way or whatever. If they show Two-Face at all I think it'll probably be at the end of the movie.

Scarecrow (rumor)there have been pictures on the set of someone wearing the scarecrow mask. but who knows, they never showed who was underneath, maybe it's the joker having some fun.

Cillian Murphy is definitely in this movie. Whether he reprises his role as scarecrow or not, i dunno. But he is given credits.

I just read up on this, and Two-Face will be in the movie as he was before he had his accident. He'll be the DA, and help Batman & Gordon help the Joker.
A good decision by the director, IMO, especially if he's transformed by the Joker near the end of the movie.

I'm enjoying the music from the trailer.
Reminds me of the Cartoon on WB back then.
Hah, the Riddler anyone? =p
Is there by any chance a Harley Quinn in the film?
Or is she rather too cartoonish of a character?

From what i have read, this is the introduction of the Joker (the prologue i posted). Meaning, we see him as a fully developed bad guy and we wont be given much of his past. He is obviously already out of Arkum Asylum. Therefore its doubtful we see the actual character before she became Harley Quinn, and depending on if the Joker lives, doubtful if we see Harley as well.
I dont think they will progress the Joker into another movie without developing his back story, but its doubtful we get introduced to her without her appearing once in this film. So it really depends on what they intend to do with the Joker. I doubt we will see her though.

What can I say that has not all ready been said? Ledger looks to be kicking ass at playing the J-Man. He is psychotic and off the wall to the extreme. i am just praying that Nolan does not commit the sin that Burton did and kill off Joker. That was so LAME!
I know that Aaron Eckhart as Two Face is very kool. I can't wait for Joker to splash that acid on his face and turn him EVIL. I speculate that it will happen near the end of the movie. If my memory serves me Joker does it to him while they are in court. I can see Gordon busting Joker with Batman, then having him go to court, then the DA, Harvey Dent, getting wasted by Joker. SWEET!!!!
I can also see Dr. Harleen Quinzel(Harley Quinn) being Jokers shrink at the end of the movie as they put him back in Arkham Asylum as they put Two face in there too.
That would work. I have no idea where Scarecrow is in this thing, maybe as a rouge crazy guy again like the first movie.
This movie is gonna kick some ass man! Nolan 4 teh WIN.

Are you saying that Ledger's performance is going to be bad or good in comparison to Nicholson's? Because in reality Nicholson's performance was almost nothing like Joker from ANY Batman comic I have ever seen. He made it up and said it was supposed to be a reference to "Pop Culture". "Pop Culture"? Fuck that. Joker is a psycho. He is mean and nasty and crazy. Nicholson's performance was fun, funny, and, likable. Joker is not supposed to be likable at all. He is not funny except is you have a sick sense of humor. Joker does not ever dance to Prince. Besides, Ledger and Nolan based the version of Joker that is in the movie off of the graphic novel "The Killing Joke" and "A Death In The Family". Nicholson's performance had more in common with the cartoon versions of Joker. In "The Killing Joke" Joker beats Bat Girl till she is a cripple in a wheel chair for the rest of her life. Then he straps Commissioner Gordon in a chair and makes him watch it on a crap load of TV's till he goes crazy, like in "A Clockwork Orange". Is that funny or likable? No it is not. It is psycho. Nicholson was NOT the ultimate Joker. He was passable. Hopefully Ledger will be psycho and evil.
EDIT: And as for Nicholson being "pissed" that he was not picked for Joker, that is a joke. Who here really wants to see a fat 70 year old man fighting ripped Christian Bale? It would be lamer than lame.
