....don't think so
The Japanese arm of Microsoft's Xbox division is to see personnel reductions across the board, as the console continues to struggle in the Far East....
....Although Microsoft strongly denies that it is terminating or scaling back its Xbox operations in the Far East, this is almost certainly how the story will be interpreted by analysts - with the scaling back of the unsuccessful division being seen as a tacit admission that Xbox is dead in the water in Japan.

I say they should just quit. Or put less money into it. Focus mostly on America and Europe.
Yea, they already lost the battle in Japan.
i like watching xbox fail in japan, so i'd like them to hold on as long as possible over there :D

They let go 36 people in their Japanese division........... Microsoft should focus on Korea, not Japan.

An American console will never hit it off in Japan.. unless its shaped like a mushroom and they have a little Italian plumber with bright colors. That way they can enjoy it while they are toking it up.

GCN massacre? Whatever you're smoking would most certainly make you rich if you were to sell it.

They need to release some more Dead or Alive shit.
Michael Bluth

lol, Dead or Alive Xtreme Golfing; that'd sell a crapload. Dead or Alive Xtreme Racing, Dead or Alive Xtreme Soccer, and also make a DoA RPG and DoA battle game ala Dynasty Warriors.

How about Dead or Alive: Jump Contest?
I'm sure it would sell.

Like the others said I think they should quit and focus on their strong points in the business point of view.

They obviously WILL make it if they acquire more exclusives, which I'm sure they'll be doing. DOAX sold 90,000 in it's first week. If there's a game the Japs like, they'll buy it. It's just a slow process, if not Xbox.... Xbox2...

And DOAX is really one the only Xbox game that appeals to Japanese people.
I'd say a DOA Xtreme Hulla Hooping!
