Well not that many girls get pregnant at 16 lol. But ya it definitely happens more frequently than most people would probably like to think.

I know girls that have gotten married at like 15, 16 and such. Both arranged and not arranged. Pretty amazing...

And Kay, if it were a normal girl we wouldn't be doing this simply because nearly nobody would know her. It's not socially accepted to be getting pregnant at 16, and there's a lot of complications than can be caused by this, she's supposed to be a role model

Anyway, that's still really sad. I remembered watching her on All That right before I completely gave up on the show. You'd think with all the opportunity she was given for just being related to Brittney (even after she went insane) she would be smart enough to take it. But no, she got pregnant. Way to go. I doubt the details of this have come out to the point where we know whether she used a condom or not. However, a condom is not fool-proof at all. Anyone that has ever used a condom knows this. And anyone that has ever known someone that has a kid even when using a condom knows this as well. They can break, leak, or people can be idiots when pulling out and spill. Even people that havent used a condom should know this as well if they are educated on the matter (unfortunately, the majority of US schools fail in this regard; safe sex education is avoided like the plague).

It is annoying that the media does this? Perhaps. But the media only reports on things that people will want to listen to or read. Therefore, its the Americans as a whole who are responsible for this being on the news.

So, this is news because people in America want to read it. Spears specifically.
