Spoiler Warnings: I'm passing this along because CHUD were the ones who broke the McG as director story. They also knew that Christian Bale was cast in the first film of the planned trilogy, though they disagreed with AICN on Bale playing the role of John Connor. This brings us to the latest Spoiler-filled details about the plot that you may (or may not) want to know so far into pre-production. The details include who the lead character of the first film in the new trilogy is, what characters from the past show up, the type of possible Terminators, the scope of battles and more.

TERMINATOR SALVATION:THE FUTURE BEGINS will hit theaters Summer of 2009.

Christan Bale as John Connor is going to kick ass. After Batman he will be a SUPA STAR. Oh and he is the H-Bomb too. I like that the Terminator movies will be all in the future. I read a series of comics based in the terminator Future War setting and they were very good. i don't know about McG being the director as he did "Charlie's Angles", but he also produces my fav show "Super Natural", so I guess I cannot complain to much. I just hope Arnold al least makes a cameo, if not just being in the movies. Who will the get to play Reese from T1? I have no idea, but they had better make it good a choice as he has to be in the movie with Bale.

In the first movie John Connor is built up as this badass who leads humanity in the future and then you get Edward Furlong and Nick Stahl to play him.

Christian Bale should be much more convincing than those guys were.
