View Full Version : PSN not accepting ANY of my Credit Cards

I am signing up for the PSN for the first time ever. It is asking me for my billing info. I enter in all my info like my address and credit card info. It keeps telling me over and over again that my credit card info is not valid. This is really pissing me off considering that it is valid and correct. I even entered it exactly like it is printed on the credit card statement. WTF is going on? Is Sony having an issue with accepting credit card info? I want to buy stuff. :(

That I'm not sure, but if you hold on just a little longer I know they are coming out with PSN gift cards I believe in early 2008 that you can use as well.

I wonder if they're changing some things right now because more people than usual are having trouble adding funds to their wallets. I recently changed my billing info to use a different card and I didn't have any trouble. I don't know what could be wrong with your card, it should work just fine. Phone Sony to see what they say about it.

they're customer service is surprisingly helpful on the other line with answering questions. So long as your PS3 hasn't been collecting dust like the topside of a ceiling fan. *cough*

I cannot contact customer service. When I call it says that "Due to a high demand for Playstation products and services the call can not be answered, please call back a a later date."
This is complete and utter BS. If they are open, then they need to get on the phone and help people out. If the call queue is long then they just need to tell me that. I would wait. What give with Sony? :(
This is not a wallet issue either. I am signing up for the PSN for the first time ever. For a Master Account it says I have to give my billing information. Besides I want to fill out my nilling info so I can buy download games and other stuff. Any other ideas? This is SO annoying.

Call again after the holidays are over. They're probably running on low capacity right now.

I am having a similar problem, the Credit Card screen goes through ok and then when entering the address it fails... Trying to figure out if it's a validation problem.

You know when people from other countries sign up to another region of PSN and they have to randomise the address they put in?
Maybe by a very bad luck and a huge coincidence, they put yours in so it's already taken and can't be verified.

IIRC, you can use the same address for multiple accounts, so that shouldn't be an issue.
well i can't enter my card either and it sucks. made me trade in my warhawk the other day i can't buy the expansion and it's annoying.

I forgot this thread was still going. For some magical reason my PSN account accepted my bank card and all it well. I have no idea why or what I did that was different, but it is good to go!
Now only if Sony would get more and better PS1 game for our PSP's in the PSN Store. RE2 Sony, RE2!!!

Nobody has any ideas? :(I had this problem until recently. Did you make sure your info on (home address, zip code etc) matches EXACTLY what your inputing into your PSN account?
I mean like go to your credit card account online in another tab, go to your information and copy and paste it right to your PSN so it matches EXACTLY the way it's stated on your billing address.
Now if it stills says something bogus after that, then you need to contact customer service...
just read your post uptop deadboyz...this message may still be useful for some i guess:shrug:
