It's the studio cyberconnect2. With their previous naruto narutimate hero series always destined to PS2 and nowhere else. The game is very popular in japan, Europe and US so I think they will continue to supply games for sony consoles.

Ubisoft has the Naruto licence but for 360.

Ubisoft doesnt have any license. They simply made a deal with VIZ to make rise of a ninja. They can't even go past episode 80 when the question was asked. They're literally restricted. Buying a license probably didn't make sense to Ubi since it isn't like they had competition, another anime on the 360 after burst seems slim.

The US version of this will likely come sometime 2009 but as a port for PS3. Accel 1 MAY make it to the PS2 by next year since the Manga of this series starts publication in March. If all goes well and Cartoon Network skips the filler episodes of Naruto 1, itll be here in no time

Lol. agree but it's crtainly to insure that you' ll get, sequels and sequels and sequels. And as their first try on PS3 it coul be just a test to see if the game will sell or not.

Well, you gotta understand that the series isn't anywhere near close to Shippuden in the states, where this game is obviously going to be released, so it's just something that we'll have to put up with. Same thing happened with Bleach Shattered Blade. They put that fake ass Arrancar up there because the US version hasn't even wrapped up the Soul Society arc. You're going to have to wait until they release a Shippuden game for the PS3. Then it won't matter what language it's in due to no region lock.

Actually, Naruto in the manga so far is leagues better than what we're getting with Bleach. Granted Mayuri showed out on Apollo a few weeks ago, but the whole revelation of Pain has been pretty good. As far as the animes go, they both suck dong. In Bleach, the fight between Kenpachi and Noitora had better take off proper next week or else.

That's actually the exact opposite of the problem. They're clearly worried about the manga not being far enough ahead of the anime (and looking at where the manga is, I can't say I'd think otherwise -- there's been a lot more action in the manga as of late, which means a lot of scenes which take up huge manga real estate, but not so much in animation time), so they're pacing the anime at a snail's pace in order to prevent closing that gap too much. I didn't so much mind things like expanding on the Naruto+Sakura vs. Kakashi training exercise -- that at least was a perfect spot to put a filler since the manga skipped right over it for the most part. It's annoying all right and you could say it's just because they're paranoid, but I'd still prefer that to another 2 years of crap filler misadventures about finding a bug or Samurai Doc Holliday.

That's kind of the most worrisome thing about the Bleach anime right now -- they're closing the gap between the anime and the manga really fast, and it just seems like there's going to be another Bount-like tragedy.

Among the recent animes I highly recommend (aside from the already mentioned Gurren Lagann) include School Days and Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei (AKA So Long, Mr. Despair).

No they unfortunately didn't. And Shipuuden is really far far from kakashi gaiden Now. Just wonder where it will end. Naruto is a good anim, but i miss the old episodes where they particulary focused on every characters and not only three or four...
I don't know there are characters Like Shino you don't know everything about. same for Kiba they seem to be lil bit messed up...And one of my favorite , Rock lee. Well you know, when a porn game gets turned into a non-porn anime, my usual reaction is one of "oh, boy, another one." I mean Higurashi no Naku Koro ni was pretty good what with everybody dying every 4 episodes or so. But when I read up the School Days game and heard of the assessment of Makoto as purportedly "the most pathetic adult game protagonist of all time", I had to raise an eyebrow. That's... quite a claim. In the end, it became quite interesting and the ending in particular was quite nicely done, especially given the circumstances.
It might have had more punch if they didn't have to censor it so badly when it aired. It was supposed to air a week or two before it did, but not long before the episode was supposed to air, some teenage girl hacked her father to pieces and the networks didn't want to carry the end episode. The animators tried re-editing and coloring all the blood black and so on, and only then did they finally air it the following week or so.

I've found that one rule always applies though: The games>the anime. The way the characters in Fate/Stay night behave makes A LOT more sense in the game, and there are even three different routes, all with very different endings.

Sadly, the only translated route so far is the one they adapted into an anime, but we'll have to be patient...

WHat I liked about it is that it was really well developped. The characters had personnality and it was really a mature anime. And you really understand the motives of the characters and their actions and their causes.
I didn't read the manga though I just discovered the anime. I read that there were some adjustments but I love the fighting, the spirit of the characaters. in a wa it made me think of Final Fantasy VII. I don't know why. maybe because the hero is kind of an empty hero doing whatever he wanted and you could feel his power , his anger.
Jusy wanted it to be more longer. But hell yes, ScRyed is defenitely my favorite anime of all time along Eureka Seven.

One piece to me is better then both of these combined though. Animation is great, storyline is original and the pacing is great. I don't count the crap that they brought here One Piece though. Granted one piece is a love it or hate it type anime...at the moment its leaps and bounds above Naruto in every respect.

P.S I was a huge Naruto fan when the series was good but after about 100 episodes of shit, I've lost hope for that series until they get of their ass and make it worth watching again.albeit short I think the fight is pretty good. The thing is, you can TELL that they just want to draw out episodes as long as they can. I wouldn't mind the pacing if it was sporadic but Naruto has always had god-awful pacing. Maybe if I was watching Naruto alone then the pacing wouldn't bug me. I watch like 4-5 series at a time and all of them have much better pacing then Naruto does.

I had an odd experience with Full Moon wo Sagashite years back -- since I was working on translating a few of the eps, I pretty much had to watch it anyway. And all the way through, it was looking like some smarmy, sappy puppy love storyline. Worse yet, a puppy love story that only thinly veiled the fact that the show seemed to be all about promoting a record label. And after 40 episodes of smiley rainbows and angel's wings, all of a sudden it gets interesting. Now if only it didn't have a happy ending, I'd have liked it a little more.

Yep, liking one piece a lot better then both Naruto and Bleach for that matter. Naruto's pacing is god awful. Bleach is cool but One Piece is unmatched. The fact that it keeps a consistent pace and stays interesting for 350+ episodes is testament to its quality.

P.S. Not counting the abomination that is the One Piece dub. Its nothing like the actual series.

Yeah, the character design was done by CLAMP, an all-female studio(Chobits, Tsubasa Chronicles, XXXHOLiC). It really adds something to the typical Sunrise story.

as for anime manga versions, I tried older Naruto and Bleach mangas and man were they absolutely empty and dead. for me, I get a real kick out of the screams and shouts. guess it is something you get used to. I am not into manga, comics or any of the likes. funny enough, I prefer manga hentai than animated ones. doujinshis are fun to. I like parodies and 'what if' situations. I like when famous series cross roads and all hell breaks loose. but good ones like those are really hard to find.

Are you sure you've been reading the manga up through its entirety? Or are you still referring to the tv show?

Well, we really can't compare Sasuke and Naruto at this point. Alot of time has been dedicated to revealing really intricate plot points. There really hasn't been much to see of Naruto recently. Of course Sasuke is really important at this point and their shouldn't be any reason for you to complain about the emphasis on him if you've been reading the manga.

When actually trying to compare their power levels, all I can say is that we haven't really seen much of what Naruto can really do. We know two things for sure right now. Naruto has nearly mastered a technique that even the Fourth Hokage (considered to be the greatest ninja of his time) couldn't complete, and and remember what Jariya said about Naruto's importance.

Nice thats the guy I see. I'll also check up on 2x2 = Shinobuden. I haven't been looking for new animes or mangas. I have only been reading up on Naruto, Bleach and Hajime no Ippo.

lol Right now it's definitely "The Uchiha Show, starring Sasuke," but it looks like the special guest Itachi will be getting a few chapters of backstory now. However, I can never forgive Kishimoto for having Rock Lee job to Gaara after all of his hard work, THEN take away Gaara's uber hax in a later arc. That was just piss poor thinking/writing on his part, because we all know that without the Jinchuuriki inside of Gaara, Rock Lee wouldn't even have had to open a gate to beat his sand slinging ass.

From what we've seen so far, the development team is making excellent progress with the title.We were able to see the game running and the characters, environments and animations looked stylish and strikingly fluid. We could tell that a lot of effort was put into the game thus far and there is clearly a great deal of passion in the team. "I think our team is probably -- throughout the whole entire world -- the number one fan of Naruto," says Matsuyama. "We follow the actual creator of the series."

Matsuyama started off the demo by explaining the game as a whole: "one of the goals or themes that we had when we decided to make the PS3 product was to get rid of the barrier between the anime and what the game actually offers, so that we meld them together in a very natural sense. So users have the experience as if they're partaking directly in the anime series." Although we only got to see a few normal style battles, the content looked like a lot of fun. Characters moved quickly and could dash, flip and jump with ninja-esque grace. The build that was presented to us had a very straight-forward layout: the circle button was used for attacks and the X button was for jumping. But basic combat wasn't the only thing going on in Ultimate Ninja Storm.

Not only will you be able to execute normal attacks and various jutsu abilities, but Matsuyama demonstrated that[i] you can hit either R1 or L1 to briefly summon another character into the action to assist you. For example, choose Sakura before the match begins. When you hit the corresponding trigger, she'll flip down, rush towards your opponent and dish out some serious damage. Although each assist ability is based on a timer, you can string your own attacks together with your teammates to create some vicious combos[/COLOR].

We were also impressed and excited when Matsuyama knocked his opponent back and he went flying against the wall -- only to flip around and run along the wall to escape. Matsuyama's character did the same and thus the battle took place on an entirely new plane, and the camera kept track of the action quite nicely.

But battles aren't the only experiences you'll have with Ultimate Ninja Storm. The primary story mode will feature Konoha village as a primary hub and give players the ability to select missions ranging from battles to mini-games -- even boss fights will be accessible. We were impressed to learn from Matsuyama that the game will loosely follow the events of the first 135 episodes of the anime and touch upon key plot points contained within.

The demo ended with Matsuyama showing us one of the game's first boss encounters: Naruto facing off against Gaara and a massive sand beast. The scale of this battle was incredible and Naruto had to leap out of the way of tremendous strikes from the creature. The battle was broken up between free-roaming sections and quick-button events similar to God of War. However, the implementation of these events was excellent and seemed to vary the action perfectly as opposed to detract from it. Naruto even summoned his own creature to face his enemy, and the results were spectacular. We can't wait to see what's in store for us later in the game.

As the demo ended, we asked Matsuyama if there would be any online attributes to Ultimate Ninja Storm. "Unfortunately, we don't have any individual online matchmaking modes for the game, but we will be planning downloadable content that will hopefully compensate for the lack of that feature. We'll make sure we have something interesting for the downloadable content, don't worry."

That what I was thinking too..If they charged 1$ for a downloadable character that would suck...But maybe could be a trick for them so as they won't have to make a sequel....And put a pack of downloadable characters..But That's just an idea.

well, I stopped about 3 episodes from the last anime one. it was chapter 317. got to narutofan.com (free registration required, iirc) or any other fan-circle. and to be on the safe side, download an earlier manga than keep jumping till you reach where you get. you can tell from the first page or two, so even if it is new, you won't spoil anything since you wouldn't understand what was going on anyway.

Because 8 times out of 10, they don't have a story to give. Manga isn't generally produced with several chapters of storyline written ahead of time. The mangaka is rarely more than a few chapters ahead of the publishing in terms of formal writing with more or less an overall "plan" to carry through for the course of a full story arc. There are extreme examples of this like Inuyasha, but there are also very good exceptions like Deathnote.

As far as the artwork and such, manga is rarely, if ever, ahead at all on that, and with series like Naruto and Dragonball, the artwork is done with a cinematographer's eye, so those are cases where the anime tends to depend on the manga even for camera angles and and key stylizations. As a rule, though, the actual art stage of manga production is pretty much guaranteed to be rushed. You can basically assume that there are no lines inked, no text laid out, no fields screentoned in any manga page that weren't done behind schedule (but then again, you could probably say that about all comics).

something interesting happened with the Hellsing anime; it caught up with the manga, so what they did was branch it into a completely separate way than the manga's. now, they are releasing a Hellsing anime called Ultimate Hellsing that features 40 minute long episodes (practically a movie in anime terms) but only twice or so every year. the first 2 episodes were an entire run through the anime with some new animation and angles. the following episodes follow the manga's path and are completely different from the anime's.

This also happened with Fullmetal Alchemist where the anime caught up extremely early, so the anime producers decided to create their own separate storyline. It was all great too until the freakin movie came out and ruined it all imo.

Holy issh!! That looked so awesome in Knockin' on Heaven's Door. I still find that scene to have never been outdone in ANY ANIME TO DATE.

Whereas, I didn't even remember that scene to scene copy in Naruto. I guess, it's the execution and setting that nailed it in Bebop. Oh not to mention, being the original choreography on it.

Way to eff up on that mangaka-san! Puukh not that I like the show(naruto) anymore. Lost interest a looong time ago. But shaving off of Spike Spiegal. F you mangaka-san.

PS: I don't hate the game btw. Still play it once I get it.
