I was pleasantly surprised when I downloaded the demo from PSN. I've heard nothing about this game before, but found it quite fun. Does anybody have any further details on the title?
What I will say is that I also knew very little about this game and enjoyed it LOADS. I'll be buying it.
Didn't even know it existed until it appeared on PSN. Had one quick go through it the other day, seemed like a pretty cool game to me.

Linking the multipliers is great fun, there are some tactics involved and replay value seems good. It's a bit like a free-roaming Time Crisis, or an extended 'tutorial' mission from COD4. Graphics are nice, and it has a good feel to it.

Thanks for the heads up, Angeljuice :spiny:

It's pretty much the same thing and it has the same content. The single player and multiplayer expansions are coming soon though.

The game FUCKIN OWNS! Holy shit this is the single biggest surprise I've had during the 20 or so years I've been playing games.
Day one purchase for sure. The Tony Hawk of arcade shooters, unbelievably entertaining! And the technical side is very good as well, among the best multiplatform stuff I've seen.
I suspect the game will be a huge flop sales-wise because people see it as a very old-school game but IMO there has never been an arcade shooter even nearly as good as this. Just amazing.

Well, so far it has decent reviews (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/club). I myself have known about this game for some time now, and when I saw some videos (CG) I thought it may end up as another generic shooter.
I heard good things about it though from gamers when the demo cameout in the UK, and I wanted to try it out myself...*runs off to d/l demo*

Are you guys talking about Stardust?!!
When it first came out both IGN and 1up said it was PSN's must-have title bettering Calling all Cars...
It got some praise and I'm sure enough people bought it to at least maka a part 2. Don't worry, there's no time limit on PSN games--there just hidden gems waiting to be found.
btw--I recommend Stardust and PJ Monsters the most out of the original games on PSN
They were talking about The Club, although there's nothing wrong with talking about Stardust and Pixel Junkie Monsters :-D

If you play it just as a regular shooter it is mediocre but if you play it like it's supposed to be played (meaning hunting highscores) it's seriously addictive and an amazingly well crafted game.
I will definitely buy it but like I said, it's going to be a flop sales-wise because people will play it once, compare it to normal shooters (like CoD4) and hate it. Shame really, Bizarre has created an awesomely fresh game and poured a lot of work into it. I've played the demo alone closer to 10 hours now. :D

I hate shooters like that where you run a linear levels to get points for headshots.
If you could make crazy moves and jumps then it would be something else.
The sprint is copied from Gears, the graphics are very bland and clunky, no cover system which hurts the game alot, no shoulder switching which annoys me extremly in a game with such a camera, and i dont like the controls.
Positive is that you can change the color of the cross hair etc. completly for yourself.

It makes a nice change to all the other shooter games around at the moment.
Also, there are hardly many non-linear shooters out there.

Different is not par with good to me.
The gameplay idea itself is nice maybe, but this doesnt make the game look and play better.

In your opinion, which is fair enough.
Some people will love it, some people won't. You're in the "won't" pile :)

It's not only a fresh change, it's a lot deeper as well when you play it more. You dont just try to get headshots as fast as you can, you also have to decide at what moment you shoot at them, from which distance, in what order you shoot them, at what moment you reload, at what moment you change your weapon etc. Many of the firefights are almost like puzzles PLUS you have to be accurate and fast and memorize your every action and try to come up with ways to improve even more.
I honestly think it's genius. And truly a fresh change from all the other shooters on the market.
And the music rocks! Gives the game this urgent feel like you HAVE to push faster and faster.

I do this in almost every shooter.... lol
And change weapon?
I played through the entire level with the first gun i picked up (i even killed the rocket launcher guy with it).
I must admit i only finished it on casual (both game modes) because i was not motivated for the rest.
And of course its my opinion (beside the technical department).

Yes, I do it as well, however it doesnt affect the outcome at all or very little. I get a kill and that's it. In this game it's very different. But I wont continue because I cant really explain it better. Anyone who wants to understand the mechanics of the game has to play it and understand it themselves. I just want to say that it definitely is a lot deeper than it seems if you only try it once or twice, a LOT.
I thought I would give it a try since I remember reading about it a while back. But like OG said earlier, played it and then deleted it soon after. Wasn't for me. Didn't find anything to really interest me, except the opening movie.
