I'm trying to time it so I finish watching the 3rd season on dvd right before the season premiere.

It still sucks how the writers' strike is cutting the season in half.

Typically, Lost includes a quick recap of previous happenings before a new episode, but the footage isn't always from the previous episode. They take footage from any episode that plays a role in the one about to play. Its like a hint at what is coming.

And yes, the Season 4 premier is a 2 hour event, meaning that a full blown recap is probably going to take up that first hour.

they always give them the stupidest names, all abc shows get a special recap episode that always has a colon and another name. "grey's anatomy: hanging by a moment", "desperate housewives: the juiciest bites" or "lost: the journey within"

i'm sure this year it will be, "lost: sexiest hurley moments" because that is why we all watch the show.

I saw a movie the other day that he a made a cameo in. Sadly, I can't recall what the movie was.

I vote yes. In the current television trailer being played every 5 minutes, a flash of Charlie's face appears in a split second at the very end of the trailer. It's like subliminal messaging, almost.

Seriously though, I don't think he is for some reason. His character was much too strong in the overall storyline to eliminate him.

These are facts that were released with the BluRay version of Lost.

- Walt definitely has psychic powers
- Dharma drilled, hit area with large electromagnetic build up. Swan was built over this area to act as a sort of cork.
- Desmond is solely responsible for the plane crash.
- Pushing the button may indeed save the world. There is a reason they didn't use the fail safe key originally and continued pushing the button.
- Penny is searching for the Island and when Locke didn't push the button her team saw the magnetic disturbance and found location of island. How did Penny even know there was an island to look for? We will find out in future. Since this development there is now a freighter off the island that Penny doesn't know about.
- The island cured Locke of his paralysis but is it permanent?
- Charlie, Nikki, Paulo, Shepard, Mikhail are all DEAD.
- Others use Mittelos Bioscience as a cover when off island. It is not a real company.
- Mittelos is acronym for lost time and we will find out how it relates to the others time off the island in the future.
- The others do not just get in the submarine and travel off the island. The submarine is only a part of the mechanism that allows the others to travel off the island.
- Joked that Marvin Candle, Mark Wickmund, and Edgar Halowax are different people. They are probably same person, but orientation films recorded at different times. In one orientation video he has a fake hand. We will find out more about him and what happened to his hand in the future.
- Island has a very long history. Four toed statue may have something to do with ancient egyptians. Hieroglyphs in countdown timer in Swan a sort of tribute to them.
- Richard Alpert could be 601 years old, but definitely not a day over 602 they joked. Island may effect cells and slow down aging process.
- Dharma brought polar bears to island. Set free when hostiles took over and they bred.

i like this better than the lost experience just because it's produced a little better though it's not as interesting to solve, especially since it arbitrarily locks things by time, so you can't find out more until a certain point in the future.

the alias viral sites were the best though. it was a lot crazier back then.

I refuse to believe Mikhail is really dead. He was like some kind of villain from a horror film where they kept seemingly killing him and then he would come back again.

If Charlie shows up it'll probably just be in visions like with Boone or in someone else's flashback.

Hrmmm, im friggin pumped for this season. I know last season, they started off the show perfectly. If i remember correctly at least. They started it right off, no recap or anything. Perhaps they did the whole recap in a hour long breakdown before, but im pretty sure it was just the new episode at the beginning of season 3.

Well we should already know that the Island contains healing powers. That is a very large reason why Dharma is there in the first place. That is also why Bernard's wife does not want to leave the island, and the same reason that Locke wants to stay. At the same time, babies cannot be born on the Island for whatever reason, which is something that Dharma was attempting to solve. Maybe it's a balance formed by the Island. Longer life for some + less reproduction = a balance in life on the Island.

One more thing. If Charlie is pronounced dead, then Mikhail must be dead as well. Both were within the same vicinity of the explosion. While Charlie drowned, Mikhail more than likely burned. Drastic differences in death. But, if one survived, than the other more than likely will resurface as well. Maybe Charlie and Mikhail will become arch enemies of each other, if still alive.

Yeah I've seen them. They were only meant as little 'filler' episodes or like connect the dot type things. I liked them but like you said some of them were just weak.

I'm really not interested in Lost anymore, I liked the first season and a half, then it started to drag on. The flashbacks started to piss me off and I found the acting so-so. I watched some of the 3rd season near the end where it started to heat up a little, I will try to watch the next season but I could certainly do without it.

That point in the second season is probably when they lost the most amount of viewers. They started showing a new episode every two or three weeks and in-between would show repeats of stuff from earlier in the season, and I think I remember watching a few episodes from season one.
