View Full Version : Resistance or Rainbow Six?
Quick question I recently traded in my Warhawk and I have a choice to make. For those who own and/or played both what's the better game Resistance or Rainbow Six Vegas?

I've played both and I loved Resistance.
I've played Vegas on X360 though and I heard it suffers from shitty port to PS3 (might be another game, hard to keep track with all the shitty ports ¬_¬) and it was an alright game, just nothing strikingly exciting.
Resistance has great weapons, RS: Vegas is too much "been there, done that".

Resistance. afaik Vegas doesnt have lobbys online in the PS3 version and you just get thrown in a game or something.
Plus R: FoM is a must buy so or so.

Resistance is more popular by far. Just ignore RS Vegas, nobody cares about that game anymore.

R6 online made me hate the game, but they may have fixed that by now......however I still liked Resistance way better(still have it and sold R6).
Resistance without a doubt.

Resistance dude, is more "Playstationy"
story, crazy weapons, unique setting, and waay more popular with the Sony crowd than Rainbow 6.
The only strictly military game I know that the PS community embraced outstandingly is socom.
one question tho? Why did you trade in Warhawk? The new map is incredible:huh:

I guess the world has spoken already. Get Resistance or I'll crush you... at MotorStorm... if you get it (and you should too).

WOW. I am amazed. Not a single guy trashed the poster for trading in Warhawk
Anyway, Resistance is a must buy (and try to keep it!)

I traded in warhawk for three reasons.
1. I live in the Caribbean and my credit card doesn't work with the PSN which means I can't buy Omega Dawn.
2. It gets boring as hell when all the people you used to play with are on the servers you can't join and your forced to play with idiots who just sing into their mics.
3. Call of Duty 4 multiplayer is THE shit. Poor warhawk doesn't get anymore love.
Thanks for the input though it was appreciated.

I've played both versions, and the 360 version is definitely better. The graphics on the PS3 version are a lot more fuzzy, there's more slowdown, and they've even removed a number of enemies from the game. There were parts where I was expecting to have to fight off a whole army of people, and there would be nobody.

I just hope you know I was just joking and having fun with you in my post? I get your point though, except bullit 3, since I still haven't played COD 4 online yet.

Bullet 2 is a moot point also since you can shut off the mics of the idiots on the game. You CAN'T do that in COD4, unfortunately. I've also played in numerous non OD maps and haven't had this problem. Oh, well.

i think you can say that's pretty conclusive! lol
I think what question you have to ask yourself is do you prefer a tactical FPS where you control a squad or do you prefer in your face fps action?
Both games are good in my book but i would also put Resistance ahead of
R6V and besides the sequel to R6V is coming out in 2 months so rather wait for that if you prefer the tactical FPS it should fix some bugs from the first game. By the way these two games have the best CO-OP on PS3 also if you wanna play splitscreen with your mates at home.

I'd go back and repurchase Warhawk. Love that game
